Hello msg,
Remove the upper rear cover (6 screws). Once removed you will see a large polished aluminum cover to your left. This covers the main controller and hard drive. Remove the 4 screws of the cover and remove it. This will expose the hard drive to you. CAUTION !! There will be a small cicuit board just to the right of the hard drive that needs to be removed. It is the counter PCB. Remove the one screw that holds it in place and "un-dock" it from the main controller so you will have room to remove the HDD. Remove the 2 screws for the hard drive and slide it to the right . Hope this helps. please let "FIXYA" know if i did help you. Take care SPINAL

This is a fuser shutter error. Subcode 0001 is that the shutter is not being detected by the shutter sensor. 0002 is that the shutter is moving but on/off detection timing is off. When the copier is powered up you should here this shutter trying to find the home position. If the error occurs then, most likely the sensor is bad or unplugged. Have you done any fixing repairs recently and got this error?

5570 imagerunner question

If you can find the main power switch to the machine, you can find the waste toner bottle. Find the doors on the right side of the copier that are used to clear paper jams, or find the bypass tray. Then look towards the rear of the machine and you will find a small cover where the on/off switch is located that is attached with two screws. Remove the screws, pull out the bottle and dump the waste. Slide the bottle back, reattach the cover and you are done.
