Hello, the front wheel of my MAC 3 jogger pram needs to be repaired/replaced. The bearing is broken and wheel swivels on axle. Also one of the back wheels has a constant squeak when walking. Can this be fixed? I live in Sydney could you direct me to somewhere I can fix these problems. Cheers Kim.

    Hello,
I'm having the same issue with a squeaky back wheel.  I thought that maybe my wheel was bent. I tried WD-40 and it didn't work.  Its incredibly annoying when we go for walks and in reading this site, I'm noticing its not just a problem with my jogger.  Any solutions? Where can I buy a new wheel?

    Thank you

Same! squeaky wheel, and now the back wheel has blown out. It is 3 years old, and we havent over used it more than the averge person. I wouldnt recommend this buggy - its hard to fold flat and I also cant find a replacement wheel.

The place where we bought our MacLaren (Planet Kids, NYC) recommended Pledge furniture polish to cure squeaky wheels. They said WD-40 and similar products collect too much dust. Its worked great for us. We carry a can in the car so we can reapply when necessary.

I have the same problem, one of the bearings are broken on the front wheel and one on the back.
I managed to remove one of the good bearings to go and get replacements, but I can seem to get the outer bearing on the back wheel (the one thats broken) away so to fit replacements.
If I can get if off I will let you know.
There are some wheels on ebay but don't think they will fit the Mac 3, still looking

Jane Rider front wheel swivel problem....they get stuck.

We have had exactly the same problem. We took the pram back to where we purchased it from and got the pram fully serviced, the back tyres were changed for a better quality all terrain one, and the front tyres were also changed with new bearings fitted. It works as good as new now, however I still think this is only a temporary solution... Interestingly we have only used the pram (from new) for just four months before the tyres completely deteriorated and we found the manoeuvrability a major problem.

The back wheels of my pram seem to slant inwards. starting to get really hard to push pram. please help!

Hi,

This sounds like your axle washers are bent. I would suggest that you get replacement axles and starlocks. You can usually get these on eBay.

Hope this helps.

Hi, we have a Jeep pram, 3 wheeler. The front wheel is shuddering when we run making it unusable as a running pram. Any idea's on how to stop the shudder? Thanks Teresa

Several things could cause wheel shuddering. Sit the pram back on it's rear wheels and handle than spin the front wheel and watch it spin. Is it spinning evenly in both directions? Both wheel and tyre. Up and down and side to side. Are the bearings running freely with no excessive noise? Check the swivel action of the front axle. You should be able to figure out where the imbalance is coming from. It the wheels not running true a bicycle shop should be able to fix it or you can source a new wheel from Kolcraft. www.kolcraft.com/customer-service/contact-kolcraft/

The front wheel on my quinny buzz 3 hardly moves and makes steering the pram very difficult. Especially on tiled floors, such as shopping centres. The wheel isn't locked, so it's on the swivel wheel...

Hi,

The best thing to do is to remove the front wheel (depress the black buttons either side of the front axle and pull!) then completely clean the wheel assembly in warm water and a SMALL amount of gentle detergent, then dry completely, apply a small amount of vaseline or similar, then replace. This should help.

Wheels for prams

Replacement front wheels are indeed available for the Racer ST stroller. You would need to identify whether you required air-filled (AT) wheels or solid-tyre (city) wheels. Either way, pop into you local Bebecar retailer, or contact service@bebecar.co.uk.

Removing rear whells from Phil andTeds Classic pram

Press the button and pull the axle out as far as it will go. At the button end is a metal collar - hold this firmly and push the button, without pushing the axle back in. This will loosen the 2 ball bearings at the other end of the axle and you can pull it out. It is a bit fiddly but i just managed it after the same problem.

Front wheels keep getting stuck in swivel postion

There is a company called Buggy Pit stop which valets as well as repairs pushchairs. I used them when i gave my old dusty broken pushchair to my sister. I had it repaired and valetted by them. They did a great job and they were not that expensive either.Hope this helps. Their number is 020 8861 0038.

My jogging stroller shakes

Well, i'm not positive in this, seeing how I never had kids, but while jogging are you pushing down harder on the stroller? or you could look for smaller wheels to put it on, but then again you might have'ft to bend over to do it, and if the handle which you push is tall that has to do with force viberating the stroller
