NO PC stated, why post to lacking that key fact.?
even the mouse/kbd is not HP.
but are posted to Compaq /HP.
its a wireless keyboard, and like ALL things like that
has batteries, or it can possibly work.
the mouse batteries.
The keyboard batteries. are bad. replace them..
and drivers to make the unstated PC work with this wireless module.
if panicked. use a real keyboard, USB, any one you find works
and uses NO BATTERIES to do so, same with the mouse.

that is step one,
step two are the drivers.
if running xp or vista the drivers will not come from Microsoft
as they once did, so getting them will be hard.
NOW ! XP is a dead product.
but again no PC stated, no OS stated, no real help here, full.

Keyboart-some key on my acer lap top are not work

You should attempt to reconnect the keyboard.

To remove the keyboard, first remove the bezel above the keyboard where the screen meets the body. You should see any screws holding the keyboard either below this bezel or on the bottom of the laptop with symbols or a letter "K" "KB" KBD"

Here is a pictorial for a related model:

Keyboard doesnt function properly

It is possible that the keyboard matrix is shorted so when you use the external kbd it still gets the same errors. See if you can disable the main kbd in bios and if that solves the problem. You could also try removing the main kbd and see what that does. Otherwise you probably have a motherboard problem. The touchpads are usually pretty tough to liquids - check the cable on that.

What does the "FLock" used for on a wireless keybd 4000? How do I toggle the PrtScn. SysRgk, Insert button? I sure would like to get a manual on the Kbd and Mouse. Thanks in advance for any help you may...

Prt Scr = print screen
To do a "Prt Scr" hold the CTRL key down and push the "Prt Scr" It will copy the screen info to the clipboard. And you can paste it in notepad, word etc.

The F Lock key, depending on its state, will allow either a function key's "normal" operation or a new "enhanced" operation. The initial state of the F Lock key is "off", and in this state, the function keys use their "enhanced" operation.
For many, the way that the F Lock key operates is not desirable; some people want "normal" function key operation, some people don't need the keys at all.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe

I’m happy to assist further over the phone at

Screen Problem with my HP48

Hello Francisco from the land of Pablo Neruda and Salvatore Allende!! Salud.

Try the following procedure (valid for the HP 48G should work for the HP48GX.) If any of the tests fails the calculator requires service
Make the calculator perform a
Self test.
  1. Turn calculator on
  2. Press and HOLD the key [ON]
  3. Press and release the key with "E" to its right (the one before last in first row)
  4. Relaese the [ON] key.
It tests the RAM and ROM. You will see various patterns on screen. Afterwards you should see
The self test will continue repeatedly until you perform a
System Halt
  1. Press and HOLD the [ON] key
  2. Press and release the "C" key
  3. Release the [ON] key.
The empty stack should appear.

If you do not see IROM OK and IRAM OK, the calculator requires service.

If the above procedure is successful, you may want
to test the keyboard.
  1. Turn calculator on
  2. Press and HOLD the [ON] key
  3. Press and release the "D" key.
  4. Release the [ON] key
  5. Press and release the "E" key. KBD 1 should appear on the top left corner of the screen.
  6. Starting at the upper left corner of the keyboard, and moving Left to right, press every key in sequence. If you follow the sequence and the keys are functioning properly you should hear a hight pitch sound at each press.
  7. If everything is OK, when you press the last key (+) the screen displays KBD 1 OK.
To exit the keyboard test proceed as described above under System Halt.

If you follow the proper sequence and a hexadecimal number appears after pressing a key, the calculator requires service.
Hope it helps.

PS Except for a few minor errors in capitalization ( the pronoun I should always be capitalized), the occasional missing pronoun (I), and the adjective which is invariable (no agreement with a plural noun), I would say that your English is fantastic. It is better than the BROKEN ENGLISH written by the vast majority (95%++) of the human race, native speakers included.
I wish my Spanish were as good as your bad English.

Keyboard shuts off after booting up

try starting up in Safe Mode by tapping the F6 key during boot-up. this prevents drivers from loading. you may have a corrupted keyboard driver. if your keyboard works in safe mode, try uninstall of the kbd driver, then reinstall.. check for a newer driver version.
