Could be a browser error. I reccommend trying it with some alternate browsers, Firefox or Opera for example.

firefox: http://www.mozilla.com

opera: http://www.opera.com/download/

Runtime error and install stub Dell Ispiron 560

Runtime errors Some applications may be causing a conflict. Many times runtime errors are a result of incompatibility between two or more programs. Press the "Ctrl," "Alt" and "Delete" keys simultaneously to open Windows Task Manager. From the "Applications" tab, close each open application until the runtime error is resolved. Check for patches, bug fixes or upgrades by visiting the manufacturer's website. Search for your product and determine whether there are downloads to fix the problem your PC is experiencing. When none of the above fixes help, reinstall the troubling program. In severe cases, you may need to reinstall your operating system. Make sure that you back up the other programs and files you want to preserve, which may be erased during the re-installation.

I am using Sony vaio S Series - VPCSB36FG. I keep getting a runtime error message when Google Chrome is running.

Go to www.google.com and in the search box type "download google chrome" (without the quotes). Download and install a fresh copy of Google Chrome from Google Chrome's website without losing any of your bookmarks.

"The application failed to initialize

Visual c++ runtime is required by most of the applications developed with visual c++.

Download and install:
http://download.microsoft.com/download/vc60pro/update/1/w9xnt4/en-us/vc6redistsetup_enu.exe

Then reboot computer, 3ds max should start without problem.

If it still persists, please contact me.
