Question about Computers & Internet
Try taking the panel off of the side of the computer and unplugging the power and data cables that lead to the dvd drive and restart the computer. it will see that the drive is not there. turn the computer off and plug the data and power cables back into the drive. windows will see the drive and reinstall the drivers for it. when you and unplugging the cables make sure the computer is not plugged into a power outlet.
most of the time it is a driver issue. this was a prevalent problem when systems did the windows update from internet explorer 6 to 7 for some reason. this normally took care of it.
