Question about HP Laserjet CM2320nf All-In-One Color Printer

HP Colour LaserJet 2320nf MFP Multi Printer Print appears to be out of alignment giving an blurred 3D image. Black is OK but for instance a with a filled circle, the red fill is a millimetre to the left of the black outline. I have tried calibrating the colour a few times but without success. The printer is (couple of months only) and I replaced the cyan cartridge last week with a compatible. Could this be the problem? Prior to this the quality was excellent.

    Thanks for the prompt response. I am trying to work out exactly what you mean. I can't find printing preferences. I have searched HP toolkit, the printer itself and the print command but cannot see anything about contrast. The toolkit has a contrast but refers to the various colours. I have tried now changing it back to original default but no luck. As I mentioned black is fine but the colours seem to be out of alignment slightly to the left of black.

    Thanks. I have now found the printing preferences but I only have one item under Print Quality and that is " ImageREt 3600". There are no changes of resolution.

    I have now replaced the cyan with the old cartridge. Unfortunately the cartridge was totally empty and the print was carried out only in gray scale. (Perfect though - no misalignment!)

    I have now shaken the replacement cartridge, inserted it and calibrated it again.

    I have printed a couple of pages and they are perfect. (It's telling me now though that the magenta is needing ordered!)

    Thanks very much for your help - that seems to have resolved the matter. I had imagined I was going to have to send it of for an expensive overhaul.

Try to go to printing preferences and adjust the photo quality setting. Make it darker and then go to contrast and adjust to darker setting.

If not, try to restore default setting of your printer to bring back the old setting.

    Go to LCD screen and adjust the resolution to dpi 600i. It is somewhere in the print quality of printing preferences.

    If not, go to printer icon and right click the mouse and there is printing preferences. Adjust the print quality to dpi 600i and adjust the contrast to darker resolution.

    If still the problem exist, try to put back the old cyan cartridge and check if there is any difference with the print quality. Or Remove and shake the toner cartridge to distribute evenly the cartridge that might be the problem.

What is the status of your black cartridge? Is it new? used? Real HP cartridge or 3rd party. 3rd party are notorious for poor print quality. I would test a different black cartridge first to eliminate that as the problem. Post back your results and I can provide further guidance.

Printer ink doesn't appear to be dry on colour printing.

Dripping is impossible with laser as the toner is dry. A bad cartridge may cause the color shift. Print the demo page to confirm whether the problem is the printer or your program. Remanufactured cartridges provide very poor results with this model of HP.

HP Color LaserJet CM 2320nf MFP has black dots on the right side of the paper. I have calibrated, and used the cleaning mode and it is still happening. Can you help me?

Put some paper in the manual feed tray(tray 1).
Print something.
When the paper feeds 1/2 way into the printer, open the cover. If the paper has the dots it would be caused by the toner or the image transfer belt. If no dots, the problem is probably the fuser.

By any chance did you vacuum out the printer. The dots could be coming from the paper path if it is dirty.

HP CM 2320 nf MFP keeps saying...... fax line is busy....

I had this problem as well - try the following:

1) Change your rings-to-answer from the default of "1" to "3". This is found in the basic fax setup on the control panel of the printer itself.

This solved the problem for receiving faxes that I was having when testing fax reception by the HP 2320nf from an dedicated fax. The remote fax would fail after repeated rings with a "BUSY" indication in the fax error report it printed. "BUSY" equals either actually "busy" or also it can mean "no answer".

What I found on the 2320nf end was that it had detected an inbound fax but never answered it. The color LCD on it had "fax received" but the device itself appeared hung.

How do i scan images using the hp 4730 mfp

check under general reference (link below). it should mention how to fax, e:mail and copy. if you copy to file / pc that should work as the scanner.

otherwise make sure the "scanner" facility is installed as some MFP's do not come with all facilities installed. (and therefore may not give the option on the screen.)

This sounds like a registration problem.

Use the menu (on the printer) to print antest page AND a configuration/information page.

Look (critically) at the alignment of the seperate coloure Yellow Magenta Cyan. You will probably find that these are out of aligmnent across the page.

The cause of this, is that the printer can't perform a calibration properly (printer probably takes a long time when calibrating too) and is usually down to failure of one of the sensors on the transfer belt.

Sometimes you can clean these and solve the problem, but often is a failure of the component itself. Thes are NOT available as a spare part, and the repair to correct this would need a replacement transfer belt.

Transfer belt replacement in this printer is quite an involved task, though it is within the capabilities of someone with reasonable mechanical aptitude.

if the test pages come out OK then the problem can not be the printer !!!!!!!
