My central heating works fine but the tap water is just warm at best. You certainly cannot enjoy a bath!

Are we talking about a boiler situation? You mention "central heating" and tap water.

If it's a water heater separate from the furnace then I would say a element going bad, assuming it's a electric water heater. If it's a single boiler unit, I would have to say call a service tech.

In either case, you will need to post more information regarding the equipment before a reliable answer can be given.

Boiler comes on time clock is of

Hi,
1 is an interlocked system, where stats control boiler directly, they by pass tme clock.
2 Not the best idea, it would effectively **** the heat out of the water in your hot water cylinder.
3 15 minutes is a bit long, but you are on the right track.
4 Pump could be controlled by pipe stat, when the pipe stat hits a certain temp, the pump kicks in,once it drops below this temp the pump stops

A pump over run and an automatic bypass valve would solve all your problems.

How do i set the heating/hot water timer on the LP112-24 acl controler ?

The instructions are available here: http://www.draytoncontrols.co.uk/Complete_LP_Installation_User_Instructions.aspx I hope I have been of help but please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions. Set the central heating Press the YES button, and the display will ask 'SET CH PROG?'. Press YES and you'll see ON1, the start of your first central heating period. Adjust it in 1-minute steps using the - and + buttons. If the - and + buttons are held down, the time changes in 10-minute steps. Press SET?, and you'll see OFF1, the end of your first central heating period. Adjust this in the same way, press SET?, then repeat the procedure for ON2, OFF2, ON3 and OFF3. Set the hot water When you press SET? after setting OFF3 for the central heating, the display will ask 'SET HW PROG?'. Press YES, then set your times in the same way. Remember, in this mode you can have different times to your central heating if you wish. When you press SET? after setting OFF3 for the hot water, the programmer will return to normal operation.

I want to enable the heating component of my central A/C if possible, or install a heat pump in the unit.

You need a strip heater for the air handler portion if you want heat. That will almost certainly require a circuit upgrade too. It would not be practical to 'add' the heat pump. You would need to replace the entire condenser (outside unit) to do that. You would also need a different thermostat and probably a new thermostat wire to the outside.

Every time we put on the central heating our water runs cold

What kind of water heater do you have?
In any case, it sound like a plumber should check out system.

Do you have indirect heater that gets heat from central heating boiler?
Most indirect/boiler combo heaters have control that is set to heat the water first.
If water is not getting heated, then the control needs repair.

Do you have gas water heater with gas central heating?
The central heater may be drawing so much gas from meter, that other gas appliances are unable to function. larger gas meter or gas line may be needed.
Or if furnace and water heater vent on same chimney, the backflow from central heat could be affecting burner on water heater especially if water heater has electronic sensor that stop combustion if air quality is bad. Venting problems can lead to CO poisoning, and are a serious matter.

Have just moved into a rental property with honeywell heating already programmed, l want to totally delete programme and run manually, how do l delete not overide the proramme?

There is a reset on the back of the thermostat that can be pressed. Just a bit of warning though, it will try to automatically set a program as soon as it powers back up. Depending on the model also, I might try finding the manual first. Hope this helps!

sounds like your thermostat is stuck open, this makes it take a VERY long tme to heat up the coolant and produce heat through the heater core.
