SOURCE: DVD player not working

It could be that the DVD player has a bad home switch in the dvd player or that it doesn't know that the door is closed. I have run into similar situations with CD Players years ago. Also keep in mind to unplug unit and let sit for 1 minute to let microprocessor reset. Let me know if that helps. Thank you ...Jay

SOURCE: Built-in DVD player

Are you trying to play DVD's you've made or copied yourself or new one's you buy from an actual distributor? Because sometimes self-ripped Cd's & DVD's won't play on a LOT of DVD players. Otherwise it's bad DVD player and you should go get it swapped out if it's not too late.

SOURCE: LCD TV SCREEN PROBLEM RED HORIZONTAL LINES OF DOTS ALL OVER SCREEN PLEASE HELP

I unplugged the TV and now the picture is back.I read that the LCD's are vunerable to static build up so unless my daughter is using her TV I unplug it.

I was thinking about getting a large LCD for the family room but I'm not going to until they improve on this technology.

Good luck to everyone!.

Cheers.

SOURCE: polaroid tv dvd combo

There is a belt cable that leads from the DVD pc board to the laser module. This cable can buckle and get in the way of the moving laser as the laser attempts to scan the disc. the clicking sound is the gears turning, but the laser module is jammed. by placing a small adhesive to hold the cable to the DVD housing will fix this problem.

Why did my Polaroid dvd player 1921-TDUB quit working?

If it seems to get power, the main board of it should be checked for fault. If it do not get power, and no indicator lights are there, the power supply regulator board [SMPS] should be checked. If so, check and replace damaged component/s at it main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Viewing it in "Mosaic" or "Magazine" will make surf easy. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts.

It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis.

does the power light indicator goes in or blinking?. if no any light indicator at the front panel, you must locate first the power supply board which failed. check for blown fuse and bulged capacitor.

I have a 19'' polaroid tv dvd combo that will not power on at all and it is just a few months old.

If only a few months old it should be in warranty? If a 19 inch it may not be cost effective to repair if you have to pay to get it fixed.

FLM 3232 by Polaroid won't turn on

Usually TV's have that period of time where they'll turn off after an hour or two of no one pressing  a button. If the problem persists, You could get another one and return the old one with the new one's receipt.
