How hard is it to replace this thing? Is it a plug in or is it soldered in. Where would I go to find one?

Hello
Replace its msmory IC. It is a common fault to most of the Samsung TVs. Memory IC can be located very near to its system comtrol IC, and is an eight terminal small one. Its four terminals at one side will be connected to negative, and one on the other side to serial data, and the one amoung other to serial clock and one terminal is meant for +ve supply. Normally one amoung hte other side terminals will either be left free or connected to negative supply itsef. The IC said above is very cheap to buy too.OK.

It will be directly soldered to the printed circuit board. You must have soldering iron, desolering pump and must have a concept of soldering. There will be a number, printed on it, normally starts wit 16- - - - and it must be noted when buy a new one. Its number is more important, and replacement must be of same number. You can get it from most of the electronic sparepart shops nearby you. I don't know where are you from now. Anyway in
relative with price which I have in my country it will cost about less than $2. OK.

Need code for my vizio tv i bought a ihip remote control for my tv

The instructions on letting the Hipi remote to seach for the code that came with my remote are not correct. I used the instructions from HOWTO.COM and printed below. There are two changes from the printed instructions. The first is to push the <TV> button after the <Code Search> button. The second is that the <Enter> button saved the code not the <MUTE> button.

Instructions
1
Turn on the Vizio TV.
2
Aim the Jumbo Universal Remote at the Vizio TV and hold down the "Code Search" button on the remove for roughly 3 to 5 seconds. The LED lights on the Jumbo Universal Remote will come on.
3
Press the "TV" button at the top of the Jumbo Universal Remote.
4
Start pressing the "ON/OFF" button repeatedly until the Vizio TV turns off. (This took only a few tries for my Vizio TV)
5
Press "Enter" on the remote immediately after the Vizio TV turns off to save the code.
6
Test the Jumbo Universal Remote by trying to control the Vizio TV with the remote. If the control doesn't work with the remote, repeat the entire process.

How to program ct 68a remote

Text from manual below. Pictures of manual attached.

TO"LEARN" A FIX CODE PROGRAM FROM ANOTHER UNIT:
1. Press and hold both buttons (1 & 2) on the SPR. The LED will flash three times. Keep holding {for about five
seconds) until the LED flashes again (twice), indicating that it's ready to duplicate your garage door opener's
code. Release both buttons (Fig. 1 ).
2. Place your existing garage door remote and the SPR unit within an inch of each other. Press and hold the
first button on the existing unit while pressing button 1 on the SPR unit. The LED will flash, indicating that it
is learning. Keep holding the buttons until the LED light goes out. At this point, the SPR unit has duplicated
the code (Fig. 2).
3. Follow Step 2 to duplicate another code.
4. Exit the learning mode after duplicating codes by pressing and holding both buttons on the SPR unit. The
LED will flash once to indicate that you have exited learning mode. Examine the unit to see if your codes
were duplicated completely.

TO EXAMINE CODES:
If the remote is programmed correctly, the LED stays lit while the button is pressed.
If code duplication has failed, the LED will flash when the button is pressed. Follow Step 1 again if duplication
has failed.

TO LEARN GENIE ROLLING CODES:
Genie rolling codes require special additional instructions to program. Once step 1 through step 4 of the Fixed Code
Instructions are completed, you must do the following:
A. Pra•ce the SPR on the top surface near the rear of the original Genie
Remote instead of setting the two units side by side during Step 2 of the
Fixed Code Instruction; shown as Fig. 3
B: Press the Learn Code Button on the Genie Unit. The LED on it will keep
flashing.
C: Press the program button on the SPR. The LED on the Genie Unit will stop
flashing and become a solid glow
D: Press the same button on the SPR for the second time- turning off the
LED light on Genie Unit and finish the Genie Code Duplication.
E: Follow the EXAMINE CODE section of the fixed code instruction to test code duplication.
F. Follow the above steps if you wish to duplicate another Genie Code on your SPR.
NOTE:
If the first time you only programmed one button on your SPR, and you would like to program the second button later
on, either with FIXED CODE or GENIE ROLLING CODE, you will have to REPEAT step one of the fixed code
instruction to enter the leaning mode; then follow the instruction listed previously. After duplication, you will have to
repeat step 4 of the fixed code instruction for exit learning mode as well. This is very important.

How do i program my remote

Hello;

Without knowing the codes for the specific brand names and models of your devices, this is how you program the Zenith MBR3447 for your TV, VCR, DVD Player, CD Player or Audio Receiver:

TV

1. Push the "Power" button on the TV to turn it on.
2. Press and hold the "PRG" button in the upper left corner of the remote. Release when the indicator light, located in the top center of the remote control, comes on.
3. Push the "TV" mode key located at the top of the remote.
4. Enter 0 -- 0 -- 0 on the remote's number pad, then press the "Enter" button.
5. Aim the remote control in the direction of the TV's IR sensor and push the "Power" button. Pause a second. If the TV fails to shut off, push the "Power" button again. Repeat until the TV does shut off. Each time the "Power" button is pressed the Zenith MBR3447 tries using a different TV device code from its code library to turn the TV off. Therefore, when the TV finally does shut off it's an indication that the remote is temporarily programmed with the correct device code to control the brand of TV you're using.
6. Press "Enter" to save the current code.

VCR

1. Push the "Power" button on the VCR to turn it on.
2. Press and hold the "PRG" button in the upper left corner of the remote. Release when the indicator light, located in the top center of the remote control, comes on.
3. Push the "VCR" mode key located at the top of the remote.
4. Enter 0 -- 0 -- 0 on the remote's number pad, then press the "Enter" button.
5. Aim the remote control in the direction of the VCR's IR sensor and push the "Power" button. Pause a second. If the VCR fails to shut off, push the "Power" button again. Repeat until the VCR does shut off. Then press "Enter."

DVD Player, CD Player or Audio Receiver

1. Push the "Power" button on the device your programming the remote to control to manually turn it on.
2. Press and hold the "PRG" button in the upper left corner of the remote. Release when the indicator light, located in the top center of the remote control, comes on.
3. Push the "AUX" mode key located at the top of the remote.
4. Enter 0 -- 0 -- 0 on the remote's number pad, then press the "Enter" button.
5. Aim the remote control in the direction of the device's IR sensor and push the "Power" button. Pause a second. If the device fails to shut off, push the "Power" button again. Repeat until the device does shut off. Then press "Enter."

I have an identical prestige remote which is not programed for my car iwould like to program it exatly like the one i now use so i can have a spare.

The programming procedure for Prestige/Pursuit remote is as follows:
First, locate the programming/valet switch. For newer model units the programming switch is located in the antenna, previous models have a push button LED (PBLED). Older models have a plain black push button, usually located near the driver's side kick panel (where your left foot would rest when driving).
After locating the programming switch; turn ignition on, press and release switch three (3) times, parking lights will flash once. This is channel 1 (lock button). Press lock button on remote. Parking lights flash once. Press and release switch one (1) time. Two flashes (channel 2). Press unlock button on remote. Press and release switch one (1) time. This is Channel 3 (trunk/remote starter), press the channel three button on remote. Repeat process for additional channels. Once you have programmed all available channels, turn ignition off to exit programming.

Need a code to set remote with apex tv

APEX ..........0214 0216 0215 1132 0401 for the remote that uses a 4 digit code. Check if the TV turns on and off and the remote controls other functions.

Press and quickly release the TV button. Press the On-Off button until the TV turns off. This could take 300 presses. Press Enter and check if the remote controls any function other than On/Off. If it doesn't repeat the above steps.

You can record this code. Press and hold Setup unitl the light comes on. Then press and release the TV button followed by pressing and releasing the Setup button. Type the digits 0-9 until the indicator light blinks. Repeat typing 0-9 for the other three digits in the code.

Manuals and code list are available here: http://www.jascoproducts.com/support/universal-remote-codes.asp .

Please note that if the remote was programmed less than 6 months after the TV was released or is older than the remote, the code you need may not be in the remote's programming.

I hope this helps.
