Yep! The power amp for that side has failed. There is a weakness of insulation in the multilayer board of some of these that causes the problem. If you haven't seen smoke, that is good. Depending on the revision level of the amp module, there will be two or three blown transistors and a Zener diode blown and possible arcing within layers of the board. The repair of the module takes great care and skill due to the arc damage which is internal on the multilayer board. The amp module is a HCA2400 and are rare costing about $160 and probably are out of stock at FullCompass.com which is the Behringer parts distributor... I have waited 3 months for simple parts... I had one HCA2400 shipped to me but they had wrapped it so tight in bubble wrap that capacitors were peeled off the board and it had to be returned. They didn't know when they would get more... If you have seen smoke, then two other small transistors and a metering resistor have blown. Worst case is when the power supply gets wiped out as well... that ups the parts ante to about $50 as two expensive IGBT's also fail and a half dozen other parts as well.

I have repaired three of the HCA2400 modules and it takes many hours with dental drill to carve out the burned cancer and then re-insulate and put jumpers where the circuit traces used to be. It is NOT DIY for sure. Replacing the transistors requires a desoldering station. I have one unit that a hacker tried using solder wick and destroyed the board.

My behringer pmp3000 doesn't seem to have much power to use my two peavey 12" speakers and use a mic. I have to push the gain and faders up more than I think I should have to, to get a decent level of...

Where do you have the gain control set on the Mic channel ?
If you have no issues with either the speakers or the Mic, and the gain control for the channel you have the Mic plugged into is set at a somewhat "normal" position, you might have a problem with the mixer itself.

What is the best way to connect an external EQ or Feedback Destroyer unit to a Behringer PMP3000

Get an "insert snake" which splits each of two TRS plugs into TWO TS plugs.
Plug the TRS ends into the MAIN INSERT jacks and each of the "TIP" plugs at the other end into inpout jacks of the destroyer. Plug the "RING" plugs into the output jacks of the destroyer. You will need a snake with at least two sets of splits. I use a Behringer PROCOM compressor. For those the TRS plugs go into the channel insert jacks and the tips and ring plugs go to the in and out of each channel of the compressor respectively.

Thank you for the quick response on my previous question. Again with the behringer pmp3000, can the PWR amp jacks also be used for mackie active speakers?

The answer is NO... These jacks need to float driving speakers that are NOT grounded in any way. Connection to channel A with a grounded cable will destroy the channel A amp. Use the 1/4 inch MAIN L & R jacks with balanced lines to active speakers. You can drive several active speakers from each of these jacks.

Hi Folks, I have the Behringer PMP3000 Europower Desk. now also have a studiomaster VPX15 Sub (Active 600W). Does anyone know what the crossover arrangements are on the PMP for the Mono out, and what...

There is no crossover arrangement. On the PMP5000 they have a tunable filter INTENDED to do low pass for a subwoofer. When selecting this mode for a subwoofer The frequency of the low pass filter can be set between 30 and 200 Hz. This feature is NOT available on the PMP3000.

There is nothing related to a crossover in these amps other than what is mentioned above.

The MONO out is merely an analog summation of both the L and R channels.

When I plug in my XLR microphone to my Behringer PMP3000 it only works on the Main/Mon function not the Main L/R function, and when it is working it only amplifies through one speaker. WHY???

Check if the PAN control for that channel is set at 12 o'clock position.

You can "pan" the mic to either L or R speaker or anything between.

On the Main/Mon setting, the level sent to the Mon side is controlled ONLY by the Mon level pot for that channel.

My behringer pmp 3000 has litle power i thing is 3000 or how much power it haveit? I put 2 speaker only ,,,, thankyou

The unit should drive 400 Watts RMS into a 4 ohm load per side.

The amount of sound power you get will VASTLY depend on speaker efficiency. You would likely use at least 15 inch speakers with the unit.

Left channel out on behinger ub2222fx-pro could use a service manual. Thanks in advance

Behringer only give the manuals to their authorized service agencies I am told.

Mixers are very symetrical and have lots of diagnostic capability from the outputs.

If you headphones work, chances are the moxer biss es are OK which probably focuses the problem on the output drivers.

Use headphones to see what jacks work... Remember that a stereo headphone will only have sound on one side for the mono jacks you test.

If your mains have a dedicated slider, one half of the slider could be bad. Usually you can tell those by a rougness as you slide them.

I have a behringer pmp3000 how do i select the setting to allow me to have mains on one side of the out and monitor on the other? I know the selector switch must be in a certain position, but which one,...

You want the mon1/mono setting. The center position of the slide switch to use each half of the power amp seperately. Then fiddle with the controls BOTH in the strips and the faders to get desired result.
