Default IP address is 192.168.1.1. open that in a web browser. Once in there enter admin for the default password with username as blank if it asks for it.

Open the administrative page and you will find the place to change the password.

Are you speaking about router about router log in password or Wireless network password.

If you want to change the router log in password then you can go to Administration tab and change the log in password for router setup page.
IF you want to change the wireless network security key WEP / WPA then you can change the wireless settings.

I am trying to put my brothers lap top on my wireless, I put in the pin but now it ask for the security password

The security password is the password for the router,If you have forgotton the security password there is a reset button in the back of the router Press and Hold for 10-15 seconds/Then give it 1 minute to reboot. However this will reset the router to default settings so if it is secure it will be unsecure/ Here is a link to show you how to secure the Belkin router. Hope this helps

>If you're trying to put password for the Router, then type "http://192.168.0.1" into the address bar, then hit "Enter."
>Use "Admin" as the username and leave the password blank when the login screen appears.
>Please click on Administrator settings and change the User Name and Password.

If you're trying to put a password/secure the Wireless network, then follow the steps:

>In the Router setup page, click on Wireless Settings.
>Under Wireless Security Mode, select Security Mode: WEP/WPA/WPA2.
>Enter the Security Key manually or enter the Phrase to generate the Security key automatically (only in WPA/WPA2) and save the settings.

I put a password on my linksys router and cant seem to get internet access to my other computer laptops and ipods even if we put password what am i doing wrong

You will need to check the wireless settings of the router.
If your network is secured then make sure that you are typing the correct network key.
also make sure that the DHCP server is enabled on the router.
is there any computer connected to the router ?
what is the operating system on the computer ?
WPA2 security type will not work with windows XP.
If yes then you can open the router set up page on that computer.
Router set up page is the page where you can check all the wireless settings of the router.
