Question about Fuji FinePix Z10fd Digital Camera

Got a fujifilm finepix z, and i've lost the cable to connect it to my computer. Just bought a card reader but when I plug the sd card into it it says format disk. Will formatting cause me to loose the photos on the card?

Yes, formatting will erase your pictures. If I'm not mistaen, this camera uses a standard USB Mini port, you can purchase one at any computer or electronics store.

I have lost the provided USB cable. Can I purchase another USB cable for FinePix Camera?

Consider buying a card reader instead, if you don't already have one built in to your computer.

The best way to transfer pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo management program such as Picasa.

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

How do you download pictures from my camara to my hard drive or flah drive. I have a finepix F80EXR.

Two choices, if you have an SD card reader, take the card out of the camera, and put it into your card reader. If you don't have a reader, you can get cheap ones from Amazon or the like, just type "SDHC card reader".

If you still have the USB connecting cable for this camera, wire it up to your computer.

Then in "My Computer" (Windows), you can browse the SD card as if it were another hard drive on your PC. This means you can copy, delete, move photos from the card to your computer's storage device.

I have a Fugi Finepix JX 250 - I've lost my usb cable and want to download pictures onto my Apple computer. What cable do I need?

Having gone over a month without a reply to my query, I assume my suggestion to use a card reader eliminated the need for a cable.

I ve bought a new meory micro sd 4Gb card for my

Be careful, if you use the USB cord to plug the phone up make sure that your not formatting the entire phone.

Did the Micro SD card come with the bigger card to plug it into making it a standard size SD card ? If so then you can plug that into a card reader if you have one go into MY Computer, and right click on the drive of the SD card click format.

Those are the only other ways of solving said problem if you can't do so on the phone itself. Also the phone may not accept a memory card of such size.

I got a pink Fujifilm Finepix Z20fd and pictures won't download

You don't have to use the software that came with the Fujifilm. I have the same camera. If you're on a laptop that has a slot for SD cards, (if you have an SD card) you can just put your card straight into your computer and load the pictures that way. Also, if you have an SD card reader, you can use that. And if you're on a desktop without either of those options; once you plug your camera into your computer, go to your start menu and click 'My Computer,' then your camera should come up as a removable disk device in the folder. From there, you can drag and drop the pictures onto your desktop or your My Pictures folder.

you don't need a cd or software to upload the pics to your computer you just need a sd card reader to connect your card to the pc and from there you can move the pic from your card to your computer. A card reader is actually quite cheap.
