Question about HP Designjet T1100ps Printer
This is a service station error indicating that the printer could not move the pirnthead mechanism over the service station. First check to see if there is anything in the carriage path such as a piece of paper blocking the carriage. If there is not then it is likely a bad service station that will require replacement. Always try powering pirnter off then on to see if it was temporary error.

I had the same error with the T610, and it turned out I just replaced the belt, but when I replaced the belt I moved the encoder strip alignment around. When I entered the service mode I observed the service station move in and out as its suppose to but when it was suppose to move the print head carriage back to the home position I got the 21:13 error, but then I realized it might be that it wasn't able to tell the carriage to move to the home position because the encoder strip was misaligned which caused the 21:13 error, so I looked at the ends of the encoder strip with a flashlight and realigned the encoder strip in the center of the carriage slot from each end with the arrows on the carriage and now no more error and everything works. It was when it tried to move the ink carriage to the home position that the error occured, and that the encoder strip was out of alignment. There are arrows just above the encoder strip on the carriage.

Error 21 usually refers to the Service Station. Try the following (from the service manual):
Switch the Power OFF from the back of the Printer and disconnect the Power cord. Check the Primer Tubes. Reconnect the power cord and power On the Printer.
Make sure that the Service Station path is clear. Remove any visible obstacles (e.g. screws, plastic parts, etc...) restricting the movement of the Service Station.
Perform the Service Station diagnostic test to troubleshoot the problem further.
If the above does not work you may have to replace the Service Station or related mechanics.

This error can be caused if there is anything blocking the movement of the carriage. I just had a client with this problem on Tuesday and it turned out that they had opened the print head cover and had not closed it properly. This caused the metal latch to block the movement of the carriage. I would check that first, as well as look for any small bits of paper that may be blocking the complete movement of the carriage.

Recommended for tec guys only:Error indication that service station error, open right cover check is there any obstacles in service station movement?.. check the service station connectors, if feel every thing is fine, remove service station, found dirty? remove motors, remove service station cover, clean entire unit with water, ensure that stocked ink entire should washed out, allow service station to dry, fix it up, apply grease for moving parts, fix entire back then try....for confirmation do the service test..** cleaning service station is dirty work but it will give good mileage, while cleaning take care of sucking tubes & drop detector unit.. Best of luck..
