Question about Office Equipment & Supplies

Open Question

I have a HP vp6321 projector when I turn the projector On fan turns on, power button blinks and temp indicator blinks too, a faint light comes out of the lens and when it gets stronger immediately it turns off, then the fan speeds up and the temperature indicator along with the lamp indicator blink simultaneously. I've replaced the lamp and still has the same behavior. Also I have updated to the new firmware (patch 2.012) and had no luck or any change. Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

SOURCE: Red power, blinking red temp

Hi,

if the Lamp error and Temperature error lights are flashing red this means that there are two separate errors.

  • A flashing lamp light means the lamp failed to ignite. It could be a lamp driver problem or lamp failure. Replace the lamp to resolve the issue. If the issue is not resolved, then service the projector.
  • A flashing Temperature light signals a fan error. Turn the projector off and allow it to cool down. If the light is still flashing after the projector is turned back on, service the projector.
Goodluck..

SOURCE: Both Temp and Lamp lights blink red

All you should need to do is go to the menu on the projector, and find the Filter Timer. Hit the right arrow to select the filter time, and then hold the rest button on the projector until you are prompted to confirm the reset. Hit menu to confirm and it should now reset the filter timer. Now cut the projector off and back on and the lights should stop blinking. I hope this helps.

Dell 1209S Projector, tries to turn on, and the fan comes on for 30 seconds and then goes off again. It tries this several times and then the light bulb icon comes off and it doesn't do antything else

Lamp is burned out or makes a popping sound.
When the lamp reaches its end of life, it may burn out and may make a loud popping sound.
If this occurs, the projector does not turn back on. To replace the lamp, see on page 38.

The projector turned itself off after couple hours of use and the Temp. red light came on. Power Light turned red instead of orange as usual. After 3hrs I turned it back on, cleaned the dust off the fan...

There are three temp sensor inside the projector and now your projector need full service but if the air filter becomes clogged with dust, the internal temperature of the projector will rise, the TEMP indicator will illuminate and the projector's power will turn off (the TEMP indicator will flash after the power is turned off) The air filter should be cleaned every 100 hours of use.
If you clean the filter with a vacuum cleaner to clean off any accumulated dust. then your projector working normally

BLINKING TEMP LIGHT ON HP VP6110 PROJECTOR

All projectors are cooled by the use of a fan. The light chamber has its owned fan to extract the excessive heat generated by lamp. Check to see if this fan, close to the fan is operating.

Toshiba TDP SC25 projector

The manual says it might be because the power went out when it was on. Just a note here, as projectors age they become more sensitive to power outages. When not in use turn off completely if you can. They have an on/off button.

Otherwise not sure but think you may need to replace the fan. Try cleaning it first but gently.

A couple of things...

If the fan is not working, the lamp will not fire. If you have the owner's manual, it should indicate what the flashing lights mean. Check to make sure that the panels are seated properly. When you replaced the lamp, the outer cover was removed. If that is not seated back 100%, the unit will not work. There are a number of safety "checks" built into the unit to prevent damage and possibly fire as the lamps get really hot.

Check the items above and let us know your progress.
