Computer problem!? Hello there, hope you are well :-) Please can you help? I had no power at all when i switched on my PC and was advised that i probably needed a new power supply, so, i brought a new one (same wattage etc), and i still have nothing happening. Could it be the mother board and is there any way i can test it?? Many Thanks in advance :-)

I would verify that the leads that come from the power switch are inserted correctly into the computer's motherboard.
You may have to replace the wires or even replace the entire switch system.

I had a problem with my pc it cant power on and only green light in the board i see. any advise please

Test your PSU or replace it if your power supply units fan is not working your PSU is faulty

One bad lead can cause a computer to continue on a cycle or to shutdown or fail to detect/ boot up a computer hard drive

Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions,IDE,SATA

the leads from your ((motherboard to your hard drive)) make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them there probably old and faulty
make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty even the electrical extensions or just replace them they are probably old and faulty a computer needs its connections to have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error

hope this helps

When I switched on my pc I get a blank black screen with this message "in Power Save mode". I had someone check the motherboard but he couldn't find any problems. He said I may have to change the...

Did he clear the CMOS memory? You can do this by unplugging, removing the lithium battery on the motherboard, wait 30 secs, put it back in, plug in and turn on. This clears the startup settings and might help you. I hope it does.

My computer does not turn on right away, except fans.

It could be a failing power supply, but here's a good article to help you diagnose the issue. A local computer technician will be able to load test your power supply if you take it in to them and let you know quickly if that is indeed the problem, in which case it's fairly inexpensive to remedy.
Otherwise I would guess a boot issue of some kind.
I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.
If I've managed to answer your question or solve a problem, please take just a moment to rate this post....thanks!

Why does Foxconn Socket 478 655A01 FX 6LRS motherboard keeps switching off

hello sir, before we blame the motherboard, there are several reasons why the computer is switching off.
  1. A bad power supply box. A bad PS unit can make your pc switch off. try replacing it with a new one.
  2. A virus that turns off the PC. This is a new virus that modifies you windows setup to restart your PC at logon or turns off unexpectedly, Reinstalling the OS will solve the problem but make sure your back up files are clean.
  3. over heating problem. install extra exhaust fan on you chassis, make sure hot air is going out and cool air is going in.
hope this helps
