Original question was could you upgrade the Delstar mini-notebook.
Forgive my ignorance, but it's the first time being acquainted with this 'netbook'. Search hits come up with Delstar DS700 Mini-Notebook. Would this be correct?
okay heres what you do..take out your battery and look at the specifications..take note too on what kind of battery is that and the model no. or name.Take the model number and name of your laptop too..this will help to find the battery that will fit into your laptop. I would say you order the replacement battery online, much better on the same company who made your laptop. In this case you save time to go around and look for the replacement.. Hope this info has helped you in a way..have a nice day..!!!
Err I think the Wep key is the password to your network. I.e. Your wireless network/modem password. The network name is the name of your wireless modem.
Someone asked me to fix one, but the charger was wrong. I found you can use a replacement charger from RadioShack (I happened to have one), It has replacable 'tips' that plug into the Delstar DS700 netbook. If you get one, watch the polarity, and the charger needs to be set for 5V DC, and it must be able to deliver AT LEAST 2A (or 2000mA).
The charger someone gave me for it was a 6V 500mA (or 0.5A), and it wouldn't even charge the battery.
According to the Delstar Manual you should always have the netbook pluged into aan ac outlet if you are going to use an external device such as a Flash drive which is powered from the netbook's usb port. Try this and maybe then it will recognize the drive and function.
On Delstar 700 DS, tap on wireless icon, press on, wait for wireless network window to pop up, select network you want, press connect at bottom of window, enter security (WEP, etc.) code, and press ok. Then go to Web icon on desktop, choose a browser (Yahoo or MSN), and wait for home page. You can go anywhere from there.
