Question about Washing Machines
Many front loader washing machines don't have different water level options since they cycle the water differently than the "tub-o-soap" upright washers. The best answer I can give, if there are different fill settings, is to put the laundry in the machine and see how full it looks. Err on the side of overfilling, since the towels will soak up a lot of the water, and unless the sweaters are delicate or inclined to stretch out badly, I'd opt for an extra spin cycle to get rid of the excess water soaked up by the towels and sweaters.
