E000100-0001 is a secondary code to the initial problem. It means verbatum " The power has been turned off and back on again without resetting the error ". So, there was a previous error code that instructed the customer to turn off the main power and turn it back on in an effort to reset the code. Unfortunately this must have been an error code regarding the fusing system. Canon designed the copier to prompt the customer to power the copier off and back on for all error codes, and more often than not the copier can recover to some degree or another. Fuser codes on the other hand WILL NOT reset even though the display says to power off/on . You will need to go into service mode to reset the error. Press "additional functions"......then the numbers 2 and 8 at the same time and then additional functions again. If you have followed these steps properly you will now be in service mode and a different screen. Just follow these instructions. Press copier. Press functions.Press clear.Press err.Press ok. Power off and on . This WILL clear the code. However, if the problem still exists the code will return of course. THAT code is the one we need to troubleshoot! :-)

The fixing film is off to the side.
A specific number of copies are made after the machine detects that fixing oil is out.
Since a user cannot re-supply fixing oil, the error code is indicated.
Check the fuser, either the film is off to the side or it is torn
or the oil is out (usually silicone oil) needs to be replaced
E013 •The PLL lock is released because waste toner motor is locked up, etc.
•The micro switch employed to detect clogging of waste toner is activated.
•The waste toner case is detected full.
Check the waste toner container, if full empty, other wise the waste toner drive system located on the drum needs to be cleaned out.
