Hi.

There are two ways:

1) Connecting the camera (or the mobile phone) to the computer. You will surely need a USB cable. The most common cables used for cameras are the following:

mini-USB ...

Micro-USB

Most cameras do not require software. Once the camera is connected you will get the camera displayed as external disk in My Computer (Windows). In there open the disk, locate the pictures, and copy and paste the pictures into a folder on your hard drive.
Some model requires additional software. In that case the software can be downloaded from the manufacturer website.

2) An alternative way to download the pictures is by extracting the memory card from camera, and then using a card reader to access and copy the files.
Once again the SD card will be displayed as external disk in My Computer (Windows). You open the disk, locate the pictures, and copy and paste the pictures into a folder on your hard drive.
If your computer does not have built-in card reader, here a multiple format USB card reader:IOGEAR 12-in-1 Pocket

Regards.

Ginko.

    Hi.

Is the Micky camera a film camera or it is a digital camera?

    Hi.

I think we are talking about a digital Largan Chameleon.

If that is the model, then the camera requires driver software setup before connecting to the computer.

This should be the camera software.

    Here the user manual.

I think that the camera uses a standard USB cable, check the USB port size. The USB is tucked behind the cover at one side of the camera.

    Hi.

This is a very basic and old camera. Today it is a proper toy. When the camera was originally sold Vista was not available. The camera has no software for Windows XP.

The only thing you can do is trying to install the XP driver in compatibility mode. If that does not work, then you will need an XP computer to download files.

See: Use Windows Vista Compatibility Mode to Install Windows XP Drivers

If that does not work, then the camera cannot be used with Vista.

If your photos are stored on the memory card, then removethe memory card from the camera and insert it into an USB memory card reader.Connect this USB memory card reader and memory card into the USB port of yourworking computer. Cropping etc is usually more easily done on your laptop or computer. Not all cameras have the ability to do it in camera. Connect the camera to your computer, or remove the card and put it in a computer and you can edit them to your hearts content :)

Nothing is wrong. The file names of the recent pictures probably duplicate those of your old pictures. Your computer is probably caching the images associated with those names until you double-click on them.

Since you declined to specify the type of computer and the software you're using, I'm afraid I can't tell you how to clear the cache. I also assume you're not really connecting your 35mm SLR camera to your computer.
