Thanks for choosing FixYa,

If your oven is not self cleaning use this one:

Otherwise use this one:

Call Dow using this number Toll Free: 1-800-248-2481
and ask what retailer near you would carry this product:

Lowes, Menards, and Home Depot all have high temp silicone adhesives. You need one that has a temp range of 300 deg C / 572 deg F.

There are Black and Clear adhesives. I prefer the Black as it will not show grease signs ever.

Thanks for choosing FixYa,

Hi have taken screws out of oven door to clean on my Omega Oven & the whole front glass panel came off, can you please advise what glue is to be used to put it back on again please?

In my experience there is new glue used on oven doors. The glass has either a neoprene, woven glass matting or asbestos sealing gasket on the edges or both surfaces of the glass. The glass is put in place between clips/guides and then the door halves are tightened and it pinches the glass in place. The only glue-like substance you could use is Fire clay cement.

Can I glue the inner door glass back into place.

Hi Malc, Yes, the glass coming free as a result of too much pressure when cleaning or placing a pan on the glass when the door is open, the adhesive being weakened by chemicals, or just old poor quality adhesive is a common problem. The repair is within the scope of most competent people. This is the right type of high temperature adhesive to use.

Glue oven safety glass

You need a high temperature silicone adhesive specific for the job. No point using epoxies, they will not give you a long term solution and you will waste time and money.
This company makes a glass oven door repair kit that will do the job for you.

The inner glass door on my zanussi oven has come

You should be able to repair your existing door. Have a look around the perimeter of the door to see if there are any screws, particularly near the handle. You are looking to take the front fascia off the door, so that you can access the inside. Most doors have the front fascia held on by small brackets glued to the back of the glass that clip on to a fixing on the internal door. The top of the fascia is normally held in place by the handle. Once you have the front of the door off you can retrieve the piece of glass that has fallen out. You will almost certainly find that the glass has come away from the adhesive that was used to hold it in place. You will need to clean up the glass and the metal door and re-stick the glass using a high temperature oven door glue
