I'm having the same problem. Mouse works great but the keyboard doesn't. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the software at least twice via remote desktop- done a hard reboot on the hardware (it's a Logitec wireless keyboard) - I've even tried installing it on another computer and the keyboard and mouse both work great! I just can't get it to work on my computer. The curious thing is that the side buttons (like sleep work) but it won't Ctrl Alt Del so I can login - what am I doing wrong? Are there settings that need to be changed?

try to use the system restore feature, click on start, accessories, system tools, then click on system restore. try to restore back to a date before the "breaker" incident. if this does not work I would back up all my files to an external hard drive/dvd's then I would re-install my operating system (XP or Vista or whatever you have) if that doesn't work you may have a short in one of your computer components inside the machine itself, (that may need to be replaced)

SOURCE: Wireless mouse not picking up
Try disconnecting the Mouse Receiver from the
USB port and reinstall the CD software program. When
the program asks you to connect the Mouse Receiver to the USB
port, do so and it should work.
Hope this helps. Bud

Remove the battery of the keyboard and install new one and then press connect button from the keyboard side and the receiver side also.
