Take the battery out and place in a sealed container or bag with rice. The rice will absorb any moisture left in the phone. Should problem continue, seek aid from your phone's carrier or make.

WATER

If your phone has fell into water or it got wet somehow, whatever happens do not try to switch on the phone.
Immediately try to remove the battery from the phone as any current source will cause a short circuit. Do not use a hair blower or that kind of stuff to dry the as it will push the water droplets further deep into the phone. Use a soft cotton towel to wipe the phone clean and put it the sunlight or inside a bowl of rice for some days to absorb the moisture. Remember do not switch on the phone untill the phone is completely dry. Water logged phones do not have warranty. Good Luck

My DS has fell into the tolit.

DO NOT try to turn it back on or charge it. Instead do the following:

- Shake out as much water as you can and dry it off as best you can.

- Get a tupperware or other sealing container at least three times the size of your DS and fill it about half-full with rice.

- Put the DS in the rice. Might be an idea to wrap it loosely in paper towel to avoid getting rice dust in it.

- Leave it for a few days to dry out. Every 12hr or so, remove the DS and shake the rice around a bit.

Works for cell phones and other gear too.

Will not dry clothes and trickels water down the front!

Check to see that the lint filter and exhaust duct are clear all the way to the outlet. If the moist hot air is not being exhausted the clothes will not dry. The water you saw may be from condensation of the moist air that is not being vented out.

Fell in salt water, dryed it for 3 days, is displaying "battery is required... powering off" when the battery is in. ALSO " Repair mode, please remove the battery to reboot your phone. Is it a write off?

the fact that it fell in salt water is proberly affecting it, try rincing it in pure clean water and then let it dry out, that might help. water shouldn't affect the phone, but the sault would.

After water damage my touch screen for my quickfire wont work!

Put it in a ziplock bag of uncooked rice for several weeks. And make sure the battery is out of it. So put in the battery and phone but they should be apart.

Water damage

It might be to late, but doesn't hurt to try, keep battery / sim card out, and put the phone in a freezer, if you don't have a freezer place it next to an air vent, wait over night (10 hours at least) And you should see water dripping out, warm it in your hands for about 20 seconds, dry it out with any towel / cloth place the sim card than battery in, if it doesn't turn on contact your phone company from a land-line about your insurance
