I have brought a ezy lock 604d from a friend but I cant get the wheal to turn by hand or by power.I cleaned it and rethreaded it, could I have bumped something when cleaning it to make this happen?

If it is a mechanical (not computerized) machine, it most likely needs a thorough cleaning and oiling--ie, not just exterior oiling, but requires taking part of the case off and oiling the interior mechanics. (CAUTION--use good quality oil for sergers or I use liquid Tri-Flow Synthetic Lube available at the hardware store or online.) While lightly wiggling the handwheel, apply a 1-2 drops of oil every place where metal rubs against metal. Things can be sped up by directing hot air from a handheld hairdryer into the interior mechanics to get the lubrication to penetrate hard to reach places. DO NOT oil belts, plastic parts--nothing but metal!

You say a friend sold this to you? Hm, a good friend???

Janome ezy lock 304 missing stitches, i have re-threaded the machine and also put in new needles?

Skipped stitches

1. The needle is not inserted correctly

Remove needle & reinsert needle( flat side towards the back of machine)

2. The needle is damaged

replace with new needle

3. The wrong size needle is being used

Choose a needle to suit the thread & fabric

4. The foot not attached correctly

Check & attach correctly

Help, Janome Ezy Lock 304D Overlocker!

Although the tension units on your machine are of a different configuration, always thread from the right spool first and then each one to the left.........ONLY in that sequence !

d5f0050.jpg
now take a look at this sewusa site for a better view of the actual routine through the thread guides.........as I say, the tension units are different, but the sequence is the same, just use the image from above to see which one is next........this chart, just as the one on the fold down cover of your machine need to be followed one thread at a time from R to L

If you want any more help with this, just post back here, or, drop a line through the "Contact Us" page at www.bargainbox.com.au
