Question about Epson Stylus Multifunction Inkjet Printer/ Copier/ Scanner
Make sure that the printer is on. Then lift the entire scanner unit up until it rests on the support. Then if the ink is expended, press Stop. The first empty cartridge will line up with the no ink symbol. Press stop again until all empty cartridges have been lined up with that symbol. At this point, the next press of the Stop button will advance the cartridge carrier to the replacement position. Press the tabs on the front and back of the cartridge to be replaced towards each other and pull the cartridge up. Shake your new cartridge for that slot and then unpack it. Remove the yellow tape. Be careful not to touch the green IC chip or break the hooks on the side of the cartridge. Place the new cartridge in the slot and press down until it clicks into place. Repeat this for all empty cartridges.
Lift the scanner unit up and then fold the support out of the way and close the scanner unit. Press Stop and wait for the ink system to charge. If the error light stays on, then check that the cartridge is correctly installed.

If you need to change a cartridge that isn't empty, you need to use the Epson tools in the Status Monitor.
I hope this helps.

Replace Ink Cartridges
Your Epson Stylus NX110 Series and its software will let you know when an ink cartridge is low or expended.
If ink is low, the ink light flashes. You can continue printing until a cartridge needs replacement.
If a cartridge is expended, the ink light stays on. You must replace the cartridge to be able to print.
SEE IMAGE BELOW
Keep ink cartridges out of the reach of children and do not drink the ink.
If you need to change a cartridge before it or any other cartridges are low or expended, run the Ink Cartridge Replacement utility.
You cannot print or copy when an ink cartridge is expended even if the other cartridges are not expended. Replace any expended cartridges before printing or copying.
Leave your old cartridges in the Epson Stylus NX110 Series until you are ready to replace them to prevent the print head nozzles from drying out.
When an installed ink cartridge is more than six months old, you may need to replace it if your printouts do not look their best, even after cleaning and aligning the print head.
Follow the instructions in these sections to check and replace your ink cartridges:
