Question about Nintendo Wii Console
This sounds like more of a power issue, nothing your wii does would cause your tv to stop functioning

Tips for a great answer:
Jun 29, 2012 | Televison & Video
Sep 30, 2011 | Nintendo Wii Console
Jul 24, 2011 | Proscan 40LD45Q TV
Jul 07, 2011 | Nintendo Wii Console
Jun 24, 2011 | Hitachi UltraVision UT47V702 47 in. LCD TV
There may just be a cable that is not plugged in all the way. The best way to fix this would be to unplug all of the video cables from both the TV and the Wii, then plug them back in again. Make sure all of the cables are snug.
then turn the tv on first... then the wii.
If that doesn't work, try the Wii on another TV (if possible).
