Haier HLT71 is a digital TV, that meanthis tv can recive digital broadcast.

A digital tv have 8 program each channel. Not like analog tv that only 1 program each channel.

So, if you want to save 1 channel , 8 channel will automaticaly saved as well.

Thats imposible to save or delete from your program.

  • Incorrect.....MOST DTV statons use 3 or 4 "subchannels"...a DTV carrier is a 19MB signal...the broadcaster can determine how to divide it between subchannels..the first (x.1) is usually the HD,...sometimes 2 or 3 are HD....depending on the bit rate, etc....Each "subchannel" is treated by the TV as a separate channel...go to menu, channels and look for channel list or delete that area, you can mark the subchannels you wish to remove...also under search, there is usually a selection to search for NEW channels...With MOST Haiers, merely going to the analog channel (which may or may not match the digital channel) and see if there is any signal there...if there is, the TV will auto add it and all subchannel...IE: In my area, there is a channel 25 that is 6.1 (the original 6 moved to 25 for its digital channel)...if I tune my Haier to Antenna 25, after a sec or two, it shows 6.1 and I can scroll up to 6.2...and saves them in the channel list...If the HLT is the model I am thinking of, it can also still pickup some analog signals (Low Power analog stations are allowed to stay analog until Sept 2015)...too bad its not HD but it does look great on its digital screen..the Haiers seem to have some of the best tuners (I have a 32in Haier that has the same tuner...I am amazed how well it picks up!)

My channels have all been deleted. Need an easy quick way of getting them back

Look in the menu for "autoprogram" and settings for set to be cable or air for what you are using.

Auto program should scan and store all available channels. Most sets have a manual add or delete of channels.

I would first with the remote direct enter a channel like 03 enter to see if set has a problem or not.

Done with a remote by using "menu" button first and then in setup selecting auto-program to program all available channnels.

There should be also there in that menu a way to add or delete single channels.

There is no local channel, cable only international..i lost my manual,

Here is the procedure for auto tuning. Pleas go through it. Connect the antenna to the rear antena socket marked as &% ohms antena and continue.

If you have already run the Auto Tuner as part of the quick setup earlier in this guide, please

skip ahead to "Channel Summary" to continue setting up your television. In Auto Tuner Setup,

the TV automatically scans through all available channels, memorizing the active ones and

skipping over blank ones or channels with weak signals. This means you scan using the

can add or delete channels from the line-up or prevent any unauthorized viewers from watching

any or all 181 channels.

Press the MENU button

?® To operate

The Channel summary screen will now be displayed with

the channels set to scan marked with an "?". You can delete

channels from the scan by removing the "?". If any channels

were missed during auto tuner setup and you wish to add

I lost the remote control unit and i need to program the channels for catv. how can do it with the existing buttons ?

Most of the buttons on your remote should be on the TV too,at least the important ones.Look all around the edges for them, top, sides, bottom. To program the channels, press the menu button and search around for channel searching options, perhaps auto-search or antenna. If you auto search, you can get rid of channels you do not want(I dumped c-span and a couple others)by going to that channel after the search, press menu, and you will have to fish around a little because it slightly varies between brands, but eventually there will be an option to add/delete the channel. The channel button or volume button will allow you to add/delete.
Since you did not list your brand and model number,if you send it to me I could check out how much a new one is.I would guess at least $60 though. Good luck!

Dont know how to do a channel scan on my samsung 2333hd t.v

Using the Color buttons on the Remote with the Channel List.
• Red (Antenna): Switches to Air or Cable.
• Green (Zoom): Enlarges or shrinks a channel number.
• Yellow (Select): Selects multiple channel lists.
• TOOLS (Option): Displays the Add(or Delete), Add to Favorite(or Delete from Favorite),
Timer Viewing, Channel Name Edit, and Auto Program menus..

Auto Program
The TV automatically cycles through all of the available channels and stores them in memory.
In rare cases, "Auto program" may miss a few channels due to weak signals and the channels may
not be added to the channel memory.
MENU → arrow up, arrow down→enter → arrow up, arrow down→enter →arrow up, arrow down →enter →arrow up, arrow down, arrow left , arrow right →enter → MENU,EXIT.

Hope this helps. I have the owners manual on file.
