When i start my computer it show the following : " can not find bios image on hard drive or diskette "

Hi,
This error message means that the BIOS is corrupted on your PC. It is trying to find a duplicate copy from the Hard Drive of your PC. Each Motherboard stores a back-up copy of its BIOS settings on the Hard Drive. Do you still have the original Hard Drive that came with the PC? If you still has the original Motherboard CD that came with the PC you might want to use it but I honestly think it will not work. This is a known issue with a Gigabyte Motherboard. You might end up replacing the Motherboard on your PC.
Hope this help a bit. If you got any questions please feel free to shoot me a message
Thanks!

This is Gigabyte Support > 7VM400M-RZ motherboard > Main support page,

http://tw2005.giga-byte.com/Motherboard/Products/Products_Spec_7VM400M-RZ.htm

In the small chart in the middle where it states, Overview, Awards, BIOS, Comparison Sheet, CPU Support List Driver, FAQ, Manual, and News, click on > Driver.

(AMD Sempron 2400+
That fits in a Socket A processor socket. Socket A is also known as Socket 462.
Click on Manual for the motherboard manual)

Problem with 8i845pe-rz

If you have changed the cmos cr2032 battery, and if you have tried clearing the cmos by way of the JBAT1 terminal (put jumper on pins 2-3 then back to 1-2) or shorting the two pins of a CLRCMOS or CLRCLK or a similair clearing terminal and still have no bios showing, the bios chip may have failed and unless you are able to fit a new bios chip you will have to replace the motherboard.
