Probably ..they discharged to the max..and this way the connection was reset...If they are still functional ..you have to pair them again with the transmitter... and will work again ...If they work ..avoid in the future to discharge them totally ...
To pair they usually have a button that have to be pressed and will blink until picks up the signal ..or take a look in the manual to see the exact procedure for this model ..

I cannot control the volume on the headset...only on the TV. Any thoughts as to what I can do?

You could try taking out the batteries for a minute.

If that's no help then contact Sennheiser customer support:

Sennheiser Wireless Headphone picks up unwanted transmissions

This headset uses a 900 MHz frequency for connection from the headset to the base.
You will always incur lots of interference in a busy office using that frequency band. Any antennas on the roof or close by?
Amateur radio users?
The other thing, you might have a faulty power supply or "dirty power" coming into the unit. You can try and isolate in a current regulating power bar and see if that helps.
Else, consider changing technologies and moving to, say a DECT band.
Avoid, 2.4 and 5 GHz bands as they are in the wireless devices range and likely will incur equal amounts of interference.

assuming the battery is charged, have you tried to switch to a different frequency band, etc.?
check page 28 of the user manual for possible actions when there is no sound in the headphone.

Hi, I purchased two units of logitech cordless

Your friend should be able to use the headset if your friend's computer has Bluetooth feature. THe computer will send and receive the Bluetooth signals with one transmitter/receiver like your computer does and then connect to the wireless lan with a different transmitter/receiver system on a different frequency. Just make sure your friend's computer has Bluetooth feature turned on and then setup the headset by the "pairing" process.
