There may be an air leak in the reservoir for the chilled water or the line to the dispenser. Check for a real small leak or loose connection.

Water will not come out of dispenser

Remove kick plate at bottom of fridge in front. Find line that brings water to door. There should be a coupling that connects the line together there. Remove the line and get a cup. While holding line into cup with door shut push water dispenser with other hand. Did you get water into cup.

The fabric softener drawer keeps clogging what can i doit aslo gets mouldy and won't drain

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. Check down the edge of the door seal, see if there is a lot of "gunk" there, this would cause grey marks on laundry. If it is a front load washer then try these steps--

You'll have to do a few maintenance washes to clear it out of the tub. Try these steps to remove the dirt, debris and odor from the washer—

  1. Set your machine to 60 degree wash.
  2. Now add 1/2 a cup of Washing Soda or 4 cups of baking soda Crystals and run the machine with no clothes in it.
  3. Your drain will sparkle, and it will remove all the debris, lint & mold growth from the drain pump and drain filter. Also the mold from the door seal will be cleared
  4. Add 1 desert spoonful of Washing Soda to every wash... I sprinkle it along the crease in the door seal.
  5. Clean the fabric softener cup with a rag first, (bleach will not break up fabric softener as it is introduced in the rinse cycle with the fabric softener.
  6. Also check the drain hose, it should not be clogged.
This will clean your machine and get rid of the odor.
And, if it’s a top load washer then try these steps—

Remove the dispenser and spray with white vinegar. Then spray the agitator with it too. You can pretty much wipe it right out. Vinegar dissolves softener very quickly. The dispenser just wash out with warm water after the vinegar sits on it for a minute, and you hardly have to wipe at it at all. try adding bleach to the dispenser and clean it with a small brush.

The dispenser will pull off from the agitator and you can run hot water in it from the sink. The agitator is not as easy but has a 1/2" bolt holding it to the shaft. Remove the bolt and pull up. But you can clean the whole washer with a cup of bleach and that will also clean the agitator. Now run a full tub of hot water and then add a cup of bleach with no soap. After the washer has filled up, then add another gallon of hot water and that will help to rinse out the residues that cause odors. Then after that don’t use too much soap and you wont have residue build up. Only use the smallest amount of soap that the cup has marked in it.

Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

The waterline to my water dispenser is cut near the door (seems to go up the door). How do I repair it?

If it is broke right where it goes into the door it is tricky to repair. You have to fish it in and out of the door. Some refrigerators you actually have to replace the whole door. You can buy a hose coupler at any appliance sales store to fix it if there is a few inches or so before it goes into the door. Actually you shaould have a coupling a few inches away in that spot already. They are put there so you can remove the door.

Kitchen aid refrigerator water dispenser does not dispense water. the ice will dispense, and there is no filter for the water, so i would assume no clogging is the issue. But any ideas would be appreciated...

could be a few things. fist, when you call for water, listen for a very faint "hum" noise, if you do hear that, it is either the solonoid on the valve, or the reserve tank in the frige froze. easy way to check. pull the frige out and un-plug from power. on the back of the unit is a cover on the bottom, remove cover. the valve is on the far right as your looking at it. it has 2 solonoids on it. there are two plastic water lines on the bottom of the valve, i believe the one on the left is for ice maker, and the right one goes to door dispenser. remove the water line going to the door dispenser and put a cup under the valve. plug in frige and call for water at the door for couple seconds, check to see if water came out of valve into cup in back. if it did, the valve is ok, if no water, replace valve. they run about $50. if you didnt hear the hum i talked about, and the valve is ok, let me know and i can walk you through checking and replacing the switch in the dispenser. good luck, shane

Rid of Mildew Smell?

Make sure there are no leaks from the machine. look behind it and check the water inlet hose and connectors for any damage. Also look under the machine for any water as this may indicate a leak from the internal hose and pipe work and / or water pump. Also check that the outlet hose is completely clear of debris and soap scum build up and check that the filter is clean.

To keep the machine clean of waste build up and to keep any bad odours away
1. Remove all items from the washer.
2. Open the dispenser drawer and 2/3 cup (160 mL) of liquid chlorine bleach to the bleach compartment. DO NOT use more than 2/3 cup (160mL) of bleach per cycle as this will lead to product damage.
3. Close the washer door and dispenser drawer.
4. Select the Clean Washer cycle or a full wash cotton 104 F wash (40 C). DO NOT use any higher temperature as this will cause unnecessary fumes
5. Press Start and allow cycle to complete.
6. After the cycle is complete, leave the door open slightly to allow ventilation and drying of the washer interior.
7. Repeat the cleaning procedure monthly

The water will not stop coming out of the door dispenser

1 of two things. 1)the switch at the dispense flap has failed. 2) the water valve solenoid that the sitch activates has failed. you will need to pull the unit away from the wall and remove the bottom panel...on the right side you will see the valve assembly. remove the power connection to the vavles....then turn your water on...water out of dispenser means bad solenoid/valve....no water means bad dispenser switch.if its the switch you can leave the solenoid to the dispenser unplugged until you get the part.

My Keurig B60 is suddenly not dispensing water when a K-cup is in the machine. Dispenses fine with no cup in chamber.

I solved it by running the machine a couple of times without a K cup in it. The second time through, a few grinds ended up in the cup. After that, the machine works fine.

Water dispenser keeps running

Allen, one of two things here. The dispenser target switch has gone bad or the actuator arm is not releasing the switch. Remove the front cover by using a small screw driver to unlock the tabs at the bottom. Slide the panel down and out. Disconnect the wire harness. Remove the 4 phillip screws in the door dispenser housing. Slide the housing out and disconnect the target switch and light connectors. Now you can spread out the locking tabs and examine the switch. If this all checks good, then the board is the problem...Catriver...post back.
