Question about Soehnle Health & Beauty

1 Answer

I recently purchased a Soehnle Pharo 200 scale. The weight showing in the LCD screen was 197.3, which did not change even when I removed the batteries or changed the lb kg st switch. The batteries were flat, so I put in new ones. Still the screen did not change. I reported this to Everton Online were I bought them and they sent me new scales. The batteries in the new scales were fresh, but the screen still showed 197.3. Just the same I bought new batteries, but this did not change anything either. A suggestion online was to remove the batteries, stand on the scales, then replace the batteries. This did not work either. I do not intend to report this to Everton, as the scales were only about $50, but can you suggest anything else?

There is no reset button. Comment on the internet states the lack of reset button is a feature of this scale. It also states that batteries have to be fiddled with to get them to contact. I shall try this before requesting a different expert's solution. This scale is now made in China rather than Germany. Need I say more?

I contacted the supplier and the solution is that there was a thin plastic film over the actual screen. Once this was peeled off, the scale could be used. The printing on the plastic was so realistic I did not realize what it was. The instructions do not show it.

Look around and see if it has a reset button ...and reset it to factory settings ..Probably happened with it ..or cause it repeated you are doing something wrong when you set it .....probably you lock it in the last read ..cause it indicates the same measurement ..So ..all devices like that have to have a reset button ...locate it ..(it may be in the menu as a feature..and called different probably ..factory defaults or factory settings ..or reset all ..) and after you engage the reset it will work again ..but ..read the manual carefully and see what are you doing wrong ...

In normal way ..if it do not have a reset button ..where you break contact with any power source ..it should loose all data and reset itself ...If it still keep the data ..it means that either is broke and that it is all that it displays..or it has another power source ..just to remember the readings and such ...

I just installed a new CR243 battery in my Soehnle bathroom scale, A red light came on inside, but nothing happens on the screen. Can you help?

Sometimes a CR2340 battery is still in it's package, but it may be very weak, even though it tests OK. Try another good battery.

Hi -we have an older version of soehnle 8310.00 baby scales for veterinary use. An E shows up on the screen now whenever we turn it on and nothing we do changes this. Is this fixable? Help!

Honestly, I've never used a
soenhla 8310.00 "baby scale". Actually, according to conventiona "codes", E might mean Error so your scale is not working correctly. Might be the battery?

Dowload the catalog, it has some contact phones and URL address

Are you talking 31 "Stone"? If so, I believe that comes out to 434lbs. You are lucky if your scales can read that high. For testing purposes, remove your shoes or more if you think your right at the upper limit. Or let a slightly lighter friend try it. I assume your talking "Stone" as used in the UK. Are you from there? (I,m in the US, in Florida.) Also, there should be a switch on the bottom of the scale (upper left corner) allowing you to switch between lbs, st and kg. You can try that as well, although the limit should be basically identical. If you tell me more, I can help you more.
(By the way, I weigh 197 lbs right now, that's 14 stone.)

My Soehnle scale shows an out2 error - how do I fix?

How to calibrate when "out2" is shown.
With the power off andthe scale on a stable surface, hold "g" and press "on". Some number will show up, probably a negative number. Press the "on" button again and the scale should display "Zero". Wait until it says "200.0". Gently place a 200 gram weight on the scale and wait a few seconds. If your successful it will say "Pass" and your scale will work again, yay!

Need a manual to find out how to set the scales back to pounds

I'm afraid I can't tell you how to re-set your scales, but these days the UK is part of Europe, and like it or not, we all need to get used to thinking in kilos (and, for that matter, in metres instead of yards).

1 kilo = 2.2 lbs. So all you need to do is to take the kilo figure and multiply it by 2.2 to get your weight in lbs. So if, for example, your scales show 60 kilos, multiply that by 2.2 and you get 132 lbs.

Need to reset scale weight

You have probably set your scale to kilogram and not pounds. There should be a button to set this underneath the scale or even a reset button to reset the scale to its original settings.

Instruction manual soehnle scale I need to rest the scale so it shows the bmi, hydration and weight.

I have looked and maybe you have the model number wrong the scale you are talking about 63700 Calando Quattrotronic scale is a simple digital scale and does not provide bmi, and hydration.
here is a link to the manual, http://www.leifheitusa.com/manual/63700.pdfit is in several languages including english as the company is european and sells to many countries. If you look english is there it is a very simple manual as the scale is only desinged to weight in either lbs or kgs nothing more. Sorry. If you would like a bmi chart you can get that here http://www.healthdiscovery.net/links/calculators/body_massindex_chart.htm and figure out your bmi based on height and weight in the chart.
