Only way to clear the error is to disconnet the dvd drive internally or tear it apart and get the dvd out.

I have the same problem with my Panasonic model SAHT-40. I get the same code plus popping and shortly reads maximum overload then cuts off. I disassembled my unit and discovered that my fan fails 2 work causing the unit it over heat. I called Panasonic 2 place an order 4 a cooling fan. This model is obsolete they dont even manufacture parts 4 this unit anymore. The closest that I can get with my credit card is Samsung model AH31-00056B cooling fan through Panasonic. I hope that this solution helps all of u out with ur unit!

Tape Stuck

I've checked the entire user manual which notes problems like this need to be referred to authorized service personnel. Myself, I would unplug the entire unit, put it on a kitchen table using a phillips (cross-tip) screwdriver to remove the top metal shell. Remove at least 2 screws each side and 2-5 rear screws securing the top. Nothing like peering inside to see what is causing the VCR to get stuck and help remove it. No release pinhole or tape freeing ejector will work if the unit's tape is tightly wound around some internal object or the tape is stuck because something foreign is inside the unit. Believe it or not there is a seller on eBay who offers a one-price fixit solution for your unit for $100.

That aside, these types of systems are designed as a package to be used as a unit. Otherwise they might have standard connectors. Another closely-related Panasonic SA-HT system might work for you but I doubt anyone manufactures anyhting to adapt non-standard speakers to standard electronics.

They actually say on page 9 of the manual:

"Use only supplied speakers
Using other speakers can damage the unit, and sound quality will
be negatively affected.

I would interpret that to mean 'use these speakers only with similar Panasonic electronics'.

Panasonic SA-HT520 error message

The system has a locked / unlocked toggle sequence on the main unit by holding down stop (or Play) and then tapping the power button. Use this sequence lock or unlock the DVD / CD drawer.

About the whole system and how it work. help!!

mine has the same issue. you can use the other functions, but it is rather annoying having to wait for the system to figure out it is broken. You could just remove the DVD player so it doesn't test it every time you turn the power on. I opened mine up and figured out it was just a plastic piece that came lose and jammed the DVD rack. Im going to contact Panasonic to figure out how the piece goes back in.

Disc tray 1 is blinking with 2 ovals around it, tray not in right Panasonic SA-HT680

I had a jammed disc that was causing this same error message. To remove the jammed disc, remove the top by removing the screws and then you can remove the stuck/jammed discs. For the Panasonic SC-PT750 there are 7 screws, three small silver ones on the back, then 4 black ones, two on each side, all philips head. Once you have that off, gently pry it off starting from the back, the cover is actually hinged into the front plastic piece of the player.

Won't start up

First, try re-initializing the main unit: While stopped and ?DVD/CD? is the source, press and hold STOP (the small solid square on the unit AND [>10] on the remote control until ?Initialized? disappears from the television. Turn the unit off, unplug it, and turn it on again. Make sure that cd mode is off by Pressing [SHIFT]+[CD MODE] and try your DVD player again. (Make sure your discs are clean, and try several to make sure that is not the problem) Let us know how it works for you, and if we can help you in any other way. Best regards, nightdiver
