My Driver Won't Install

I've tried installing the driver for my wacom graphire4 multiple times, but every time it tells me the install failed due to 'preflight errors'. I run Macintosh OS X with an intel processor.

Here are the steps that you need to take to fix your issue:

1. Uninstall the current Wacom driver via the Macintosh HD on your desktop--->go into the Applications folder and then the Pen Tablet folder and click on "remove tablet". Once you have done the removal you will want to run a "repair disk permissions on your Macintosh HD.

2. The repair disk permissions can be done via the utilities folder on your Mac HD. Go to "disk utility" and then run it. In that program select the Mac HD and choose "repair disk permissions".

3. After that is completed you will get a message that says permissions repair complete!
At this time you will want to reboot your computer.

4. After rebooting you will want to go and install the latest driver from Wacom's website, www.wacom.com The most current driver is 5.08-2 for the Graphire 3 tablet.

That should do it!

SOURCE: Wacom CTE-440 Graphire4 tablet is drawing when I don't want it to

Ok so I called costumer service because mine was doing the same thing. Apparently the pressure sensor in the pen is stuck down. What you do is remove the pen tip with tweezers, blow in the open end of pen, then tap the pen (open end down) in a table to get any debris out of there. Then just put the tip back in and give it a try. That did the trick for me. Hope this helps.

My Graphics Tablet Pen Keeps Clicking When I Hover It Over The Tablet Without Touching It, How Can I Fix It?

This sovled my issue using a Mac...
1. Download the latest driver from Wacom http://www.wacom.com/en/CustomerCare/Drivers.aspx
If you already have the pen tablet uninstaller utility, run it. In my case there was a Bamboo Fun folder with a Bamboo Utility inside the applications folder. If you cannot locate it, you need to run the installation of the new driver. Then go to said folder, open the utility, select All User and Remover preferences. THEN select "Remove pen tablet". You will essentially remove the driver you just installed.
Then RESTART your computer, and proceed to re-install the same driver. Issue should be solved.
If not, contact Wacom customer support. 800-922-6613
That fixed it for me. Hope it makes sense.

You can also visit the following page and choose the tablet model and windows version you have and download drivers

http://www.wacom.com/downloads/drivers.php

for devices that are not supported by windows 7, microsoft has given an ingenious solution, its called windows XP mode

Please click on the link below to know more and download XP mode
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/download.aspx
Once installed, then you can connect the wacom graphire and install XP drivers for the same and use it.

Make sure you have no old Wacom drivers installed in your applications folder. If you do, then you will need to uninstall each driver via the "remove tablet" utility.

Graphire4 Vista

Vista doesn't support many things.. you need to see if you can find a driver for it or revert back to XP, or get a new graphics tablet

Not work

It may have installed the driver but it wont work until you install the wacom tablet software (config program).

You will find this on your disk or.. http://www.wacom-europe.com/index2.asp?lang=en&pid=29 (UK site)

Wacom calls it a driver too but this is what you need to get it to work.. The windows must only detect that it is a human interface device or something.

My tablet looks like it's working but it's not

It's likely that the drivers are getting mixed up on the computer. If the New one works with a different computer, you have yourself a driver clash. In that case the best thing to do is to uninstall the graphire 3 driver from your computer and download and install the latest driver for your tablet from the wacom site.

When downloading a driver online for my wacom, and then installing this problem....

Try this link, and see if these work better. ftp://ftp.wacom-europe.com/pub/WINDOWS/cons5.03-3_int.exe This is straight from the European site. If it still gives ya problems use winRAR and extract the files to a Temp Dir, and run the setup from there.
