Make sure your old drivers are uninstalled. When vista/7 starts up by default they look for any missing drivers.

How can I download Realtek audio driver on my Dell Dimension 3100 desktop to get the Finding Nemo computer game to work?

Only nemo fails, all other games ok
all windows sounds ok,local mp3 files play
dvd movies sound fails, tell us the extent of the failure first, if only nemo fails , then it's bad, not the PC. ok?
Learnt that most folks trying to replace a driver fail, for many reasons, guessing tops the list
as does blaming it IT IS WORKING CORRECTLY.
10000 of posts here like that, and now the PC has 2 failures.(one real, one self caused)

gee try dell, fixya is NOT DELL.
Dell designed it not us nor microsoft, DELL did.

NO OS stated, is this XP? the virus magnet?
what does funny mean? surely you can elaborate that.? (wish wish)
sound from what object, external speakers, (powered)?
FUNNY?=
1: dead.?
2: Weak?
3: distorted even with volume down)?
4: with all USB devices unplugged? (not mouse, not keyboard) do not use USB head phones or USB only speakers now. nor Blue tooth speakers now.
just real speakers. for the test.(are you?)
5: what jacks, a desktop can have 2 green jacks./
one called (onboard and PCI sound "line-out")
The green jack you pick if 2 there, must be selected in windows sound output screen.

All these devices. ( i can select them)
A: BT (blue tooth)
B: USB head phones.
C: main sound chip. Realtek
D: main shut down in BIOS and PCI sound card.active.

New motherboard GA-p67x-ud3-b3 no video on boot

  1. 1 x PCI Express x16 slot, running at x16 (PCIEX16)
    * For optimum performance, if only one PCI Express graphics card is to be installed, be sure to install it in the PCIEX16 slot.
  2. 1 x PCI Express x16 slot, running at x8 (PCIEX8)
    * The PCIEX8 slot shares bandwidth with the PCIEX16 slot. When the PCIEX8 slot is populated, the PCIEX16 slot will operate at up to x8 mode.
  3. 3 x PCI Express x1 slots
(All PCI Express slots conform to PCI Express 2.0 standard.)
  4. 2 x PCI slots

My gateway laptop cant connect to the internet. _When I plug a cable, the red light in the port does not respond _ The WIFI does not respond

Hello John,
It seems that: 1. Your LAN controller and the WiFi controller could be disabled in your BIOS setup. To re-enable them, if applicable,
  • Press the F1(or F2 ) key repeatedly after restarting the computer to enter the BIOS setup.
  • Navigate through your BIOS and locate the settings for LAN conroller and wireless, and select Enabled to enable them.
2. You may not have the appropriate drivers installed on your laptop for your network controllers. Upon further investigation, your laptop runs on the following network hardware:
  • ActionTec IEEE 802.11b network card installed in Mini PCI expansion slot
  • Broadcom BCM94306 IEEE802.11g network card installed in Mini PCI expansion slot
  • Broadcom BCM94300 IEEE802.11a/g network card installed in Mini PCI expansion slot
Download and install your drivers for the hardware above from: Wireless Drivers(Broadcom BCM94306) from http://www.soft32.com/download_175098.html Broadcom BCM94306 10/100Mbps LAN drivers from http://www.broadcom.com/support/ethernet_nic/downloaddrivers.php
Hope this solution helps.Good day.

What type of video card can I use on this motherboard? D945GZIS AGP? PCI? PCI EXPRESS?

Your MoBo has (1) of each PCI Express x1 & and PCI Express x16 slots, and (2) standard PCI slots. There are NO AGP bus slots on this board. You'd want to use buy a PCI Express x16 video card instead of a PCI video card due to the better performance offered by the PCI Express cards.

The full details of your motherboard are below:

Unplug your computer and Install a lan card into any available PCI slot.  Restart your computer and install the CD.  The CD will load up the drivers when needed.  You may have to start your computer once completed.

System do not reconize the PCI card

Does it ask for a driver to be installed? Or have you got the wireless version of the mobo that needs an ASUS WiFi-b add-on card with an omni-directional antenna?

Like on the previous version of the mainboard, the PCB contains five PCI slots and an exclusive WiFi slot, in its left part. By the way, when you install the original WLAN card from ASUS into this slot, the last PCI becomes unavailable. Now let’s examine the card, too.
wifi-s.jpg
The card supports the wireless networking protocol IEEE 802.11b, describing data-transfer rates up to 11Mb/s. Using the software that accompanies the card, you can use it in the Ad Hoc as well as in the Infrastructure mode, and the card can perform the functions of a programmable access point, providing connections to 31 clients. Thus, the owner of the WiFi-b kit can easily deploy wireless networks and connect to existing ones.
