Question about Microsoft Xbox 360 Console
DVD drive doors are not really made with repairs in mind. The cost of the repair would be far more expensive than replacing the entire drive. The time it would take your local Xbox to take your unit apart enough to remove and replace the drive is relatively minimal, and the cost of a new drive should not exceed $40-70.00, plus no more than an hour or two of labor cost. Just to be on the safe side, contact your local Xbox repair center and have them give you a quote on the replacement. Then check the cost of replacing the unit. Depending on the shop's labor charge, it may be cheaper to just replace the unit. The Xbox just dropped in price a few weeks ago.
I hope this information will help. Thank you for using our service.

Yes there is a fix . Any game repair shop will have tons
of spare parts , trust me . If your tray is cracked then a shop
should be able to swap it out ( just the tray ) for 30.00 or
so. Or you could disassemble it yourself with a tutorial
( Youtube) and clear the jam , It's not hard to do yourself.
