If you haven't all ready I would suggest downloading the new drivers for Windows 7 http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=4062&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&sw_lang=&product=59129
And following the directions for installing new driver.

Have HP Deskjet 940c on Windows 7. Only drivers available are from Win 7 but those drivers no longer display ink levels. What does?

Find another computer (laptop?) that is running Windows XP or Vista. Install the HP device-drivers.
Connect the printer to that other computer, and use the software to display the ink-levels.

HP Deskjet 940c keeps saying it's out of paper, won't print

I have the same problem. In the error message box is a Cancel button.
If I don't click the Cancel then the print goes through just fine and I click Cancel when the print is finished.
