Question about Cell Phones
Welcome to Fixya
Try this troubleshooting steps. I am assuming that your phone is not dropped by accident or no liquid spill.
1. Plug in wall charger and then remove battery before red light comes on.
2. After red light comes on, wait 30 seconds then replace battery.
3. Wait 20-30 seconds and then you should see white screen with battery and charge symbol.
4. A few minutes later, the BB should reboot and continue to charge.
This issue happens also if battery is completely drained out. Try to use another battery first before purchasing an external charger to charge your battery.
