Hello
Check fill tube that puts water into ice maker. You may need to use hair dryer to thaw out. Look for a tube that comes out of back wall of freezer behind ice maker section. Make sure its there and pushed all the way in .This is a bad GE design. (could have fallen out)

hope this helps

My GE refrigerator Model TBX18SA is draining condenste water at the bottom and also inside. How to get rid of it ?Thanks.

That happened to us on our freezer side by side. Pull out whatever is in the bottom of your freezer, a shelf or a basket. Look on the floor of the freezer toward the back. You should see a small dime or nickle sized hole that may be covered in ice. It should have a cover on it with small holes. Check that nothing is blocking that hole. Something has probably fallen on top of it and has blocked its ability to drain thru the hole into the drain pan under the fridge when the defrost cycle comes on and the melted ice can't drain down properly. We used a hair dryer on low to carefully melt the ice that had formed on the bottom to find the drain. Sure enough a small piece of plastic wrap was blocking it. We removed the plastic and continued with the hair dryer til we could pour water in the hole and it flowed freely to the drain pan and didn't continue to back up into the freezer floor.. Be very careful with the hair dryer, put it on lowest setting and keep it moving back and forth, don't hold in one place, or it could melt or warp the plastic sides of the fridge. When the hair dryer is on low, put your hand about a foot in front of it and it should feel warm not hot. Move your hand forward til you feel the air is just warm, this is the distance you want to keep it from the ice you are melting. As the ice melts use a small towel to mop up the melted ice as you go. Good luck

Condensation at top of inside refrigerator

you have a drain hose from the top back of the freezer down to the condensate pan on the bottom of the refrigerator near the floor
this hose is blocked causing ice to build up behind the rear inner wall.
remove the back of the freezer wall and using a funnel pour hot water in to the hose to clear the condensate hose also remove all the ice behind the wall; remove the back cardboard to see the water come through the hose into the condensate tray when you pour the water it should pour right through if it's clear

The feeder tube for the ice maker freezes and water leaks inside

First we have to determine if the problem is a faulty water valve. Reason: faulty water valve can continue to supply water even after the IM or door dispenser is finished calling for water causing a drip feed freeze up problem, or water overflow condition in the ice maker (IM). Another common cause is unrelated, but caused by a blocked drain line often resulting in thick ice build up on the bottom of the freezer, water dripping onto the floor, or water dripping into the refrigerator (top freezer mount models only) and freezing near the lights or damper ducts after defrost. Fix for this problem is to remove evap panel and clear freezer drain line with hot water or compressed air. If this is not the case, and water is dripping out of IM supply line, remove IM H20 supply line from IM at back of appliance and see if the water seems to drip out, if so, replace the water valve. If water doesn't drip out at all, replace IM, or IM module depending on the model of refrigerator that you have as contacts in the IM are also responsible for calling for H20 supply. You will have no more problems after this.

GE refrigerator not cold enough, again!

I emptied the freezer, unscrewed the freezer floor, pushed it out of the way, and saw the ice, just like last time. So I poured hot water over the ice, made sure the ice was all melted, even from below (under refrigerator), and put the floor back in - works fine, for now!

Water leaking onto floor

Angels, sounds like your defrost drain is frozen over. When the refrigerator is going into defrost it's draining through the front instead of the drain pan. You can remove the shelves and peel off the back cover and clear the drain by pouring hot water on the frozen drain hole. If you have a baster of some sort you could try to squirt the hot water through the venting on the bottom of the panel. Another way to to point a hair dryer on the drain hole. The best method is to remove the shelves and panel and make sure the drain is clear. Catriver..post back.
