There is usually a fuseable link in the unit/radio, I would recommend that you check it and replace it.

Marine radio manuals

Hi Sean,

You should double check your wiring. I looked online for wiring diagrams for your radio but couldn't find one, however they're not unlike automotive radios. Assuming you have checked and installed the fuses in the wiring harness already, continue reading. otherwise - check them now.

The thing that comes to mind is the (3) power wires (two +12VDC and one -12VDC) that these radios often require. One power wire is connected to a constant power (+12VDC) source that maintains both the radio station memories and a clock if equipped. The second power wire is optionally connected to a switched (+12VDC) power source such as a dash mounted toggle switch or the ignition key. This wire can be connected directly to the battery as instead with the first wire, but you will need to power on / off the radio by its power switch as opposed to relying on the ignition key or dash mounted toggle switch.

Many marine applications are in fiberglass surrounds. You must make sure that the third power wire (-12VDC) is connected to something metal that is connected to or, directly to the (-) post of the battery. All three wires need to be connected to operate as expected.

Hopefully, one of these wires is not connected properly and you'll have your radio working in a very short time. Good luck!

PYLE PLCD15MR radio/CD/etc/ Power problems is that there's no power. Connected directly to fully charged (12.3v) car battery. Can't get it to turn on. Double checked everything. Fuse is good. Control...

hello there ,firstly to rectify the power source remove front panel using a multimetre connect (red) positive to pin 1 this is the top pin as you look at the front panel connect (black) negative probe to the 3rd pin and see is there power registering ,if no power is found place front panel back on radio ,remove power block from back of stereo look for the power source wires red/black you will see the pins for these in block test with metre ,make sure while your testing for power the ignition is turned on at all times ,if you are not getting power here there is a faulty wire or the main fuse for radio, has blown this can be located either on the driverside neath the steering column or passenger side check all these fuses aswell ,another thing you could try if all fails try another radio that you know is working this will aliminate power problems ,hope you get it working let me goodluck

My Pyle PLMRXT33WT marine radio keeps turning itself off.

This could be due to a short in one of the speaker connections or a bad/blown speaker which is shorting out.

Can not get power to my pyle amplifier

Usually On Car Amplifiers, there is a Connector/Wire called "Remote On".
This is where Headunit supplies 12V to trigger the Power on the Amplifier.
(Of course, head unit usually has Remote Wire also in order to turn the Amplifier on).

If this wire is properly connected and still does not turn on, then try to supply 12V directly from the battery. If it turns on then your head unit has problem, If it does not turn on then your Amplifier has problem.

Before you change your alternator try to confirm that it is your problem. If I were you I would first get a battery charger and fully charge your battery, once fully charged try to start the car, If it starts let it run while monitoring your battery voltage, if the the voltage stays around 12-14 volts your alternator is good, however if the voltage slowly drops as the car runs then it is definatly your alternator which is not charging your battery. Although you stated you installed a battery with 10.57 volts and the next day it was at 2.34 which is not normal(unless you live in an extremely cold environment), you could also have a short in your system which is draining your battery.

Hope this helps
