Mostly be all off unless your setting timing. I found the manual dip3's and how they are labeled on the pcb are backwards.

Manual PCB
1 3
2 2
3 1

that may help you. You can find a manual on internet. There seems to be two versions so you must match the board layout diagram to the one you have in your slide gate.

Craftsman door opener key pad lost code. Resetting code does not work. What to do next

Most garage door openers have dip switches for the code set. Open the the access panel on the back of the remote and look inside to see if there are a series of small sliding switches with 0 or 1 on either side.. Should be like 6 of them and very tiny. That is your code and that means you have dip switches. This means that if you get another remote you set the dips in the same sequence.. On the motor there will be another access panel with the same set of dip switches. As long as they match they will communicate. As far as the outside control box you would need to look up the manufacture case set manual. These boxes are an on off switch that opens a circuit digitally and opens the door.

Gate will not close manually but will open

This is such a low information and general question I doubt my answer will be accurate but if we assume you mean it won't open using a remote but will open by pushing the button on the operator board, we can then assume you have an issue with either the transmitter or the receiver. The transmitter, also known as a remote or clicker, may have a dead battery or if it uses dip switches, someone changed them. It could also simply have gone bad.

If you have a receiver with a learn button, you may need to reprogram the transmitter. You will need to find out what kind of receiver you have first, then follow the instructions on it to reprogram the remote.

You can find the receiver by looking for the antenna. Follow this to a box, usually about the size of two packs of cigarettes.

Look on the back for a model name and number and do a search for the manual. If it is a dip switch type, make sure the dip switches on the transmitter and the receiver are in the exact same position.

You might want to follow up your original post with pictures of the receiver and transmitter. This will help determine the next step.

I close the gate in the morning but find it open when I return home from work in the evening. This does not happen at night and it does not happen every day.Last week it happened on 3 consecutive dys

Change the codes. There are usually dip switches in the remote and gate that can be switched. If it still happens, start looking at the receiver at the gate.

How to use 2 button remote for two mighty mule gate openers

I understanding that the chamberlin is a two button remote so as long as you have the same kind of recierver (a box hooked up in your operator that has dip switches,it recieves signals when the remote and it are set the same.) you should be able to use the two button remote on both machines. If not their is a reciever that is called multi-code and it is universal to work with all gate openers. the chamberlin remote you have will work with it.
