LG air conditioner blinking red power light

This is not a split system a/c unit guys. Look at the picture. The blinking light means the air filter may need cleaning. Reset power to turn it off.

Lg 42ld520 red light comes on and blinks a few times then the blue light comes on and nothing happens no picture or sound

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
Blinking codes details to many popular brand TVs are given. Surf the site with patience.

I have an LG 42LD520-UA and it doesnt do anything no lights nothing just wont turn on

AC out is good? Otherwise check the main AC fuse on the power supply module, see picture here:

The fuse is located on the top right (white cylinder with red band), the fuse is soldered in.

I need the 4 digit code for my LG 42LD520 in HDTVReady LCD TV to program my Remote. Thanks

Here you can find almost all the Universal remote codes
http://kbase.x10.com/wiki/Universal_Remote_Code_List
you can also manually find it follow your universal remote control user guide If after trying "Direct Code Entry" your device does not respond, or if your brand is not listed, try doing a search of the code library for your code by following these steps.
  1. Manually turn on the device (TV, VCR, etc.) to be controlled.
  2. Press and hold the SETUP button until the red indicator stays on, then release the SETUP button.
  3. Press and release the desired Mode button (TV, VCR, etc.). The red indicator blinks once, then stays on.
  4. Press the CHANNEL UP button repeatedly (up to 300 times) until the device to be controlled changes channel. The red indicator blinks, then stays lit.
  5. Press and release MUTE to install the code. The indicator light goes off.

Most users will want to store VCR codes under the VCR button, Cable codes under CBL, etc. If you want to store a VCR code under CBL, etc., first follow the procedure for Direct Code Entry and press CBL in step 2 of Direct Code Entry, then enter ANY VCR code in step 3 of Direct Code Entry. Then follow the steps above for Code Search.

Red/green light keeps blinking.

This issue is related to a bad/failed power supply inside your TV.

Call LG to see if your TV is still in warranty. 800-243-0000

If not in warranty, the power supply is about $225.

Good luck. I do hope that I have helped you.
