Do you mean the power will not stop on the unit if this is true simply pull the unit out and uplug it. F1 would be a control issue most likely you have a bad control in that unit if you have any further questions message me back and please remember to rank how this opinion has helped it allow me to help others in similar situations Thanks Rick

The manual says error code "F1" means a problem occurred in the circuitry and suggests pressing "CLEAR" to reset it. If the problem persists, contact a repair guy.
See page 19: http://manuals.frigidaire.com/prodinfo_pdf/Springfield/316257104en.pdf
"This oven is equipped with a state of the art electronic oven control. Among its many features is a full time oven circuit diagnostics system. The control constantly monitors its internal circuitry as well as several crucial oven circuits to insure they are all operating correctly. If at any time one of these systems fails, the control will immediately stop operation, and beep continuously (flashing an error code of F1, F3 or F9 in the display window, if equipped). Electronic control has detected a fault condition. Press CLEAR to clear the display and stop the beeping. Reprogram oven. If fault recurs, record fault number, press CLEAR and contact an authorized servicer."

HI,

The problem is with the faulty relay board or wire harness harness.
There are no home remedies for this problem. The only solution is to get it repaired.

Cleaning oven got a warning beep and an F1 indicator in light panel

F1 error code normally means the oven temperature has exceeded the safe limit for the oven and the beep is to warn you to switch off until it has cooled down.

Normally this is caused by failure of the oven temperature control sensor which then fails to cut off the power to the heating element as it should.

Sometimes it is just a 'glitch' wich can be solved by turning off the power to the oven for a few minutes and then turning back on but if the problem persists you will need to replace the sensor.

HI, this is a electronic oven control board failure code.

Replace this damaged electronic oven control (also called EOC or clock). It has failed.

F1 Power to element relay energized during time of day display.
1. Wiring harness shorted.
2. Or change power relay board (PRB).

Note: for double ovens, change second oven board.

F1 error on SS Amana Convection wall oven

The control panel has a design problem, and it gets dirty and worn over time. I have replaced mine once, and it happened again less than 2 years later. I took the panel out, and inspected it. I found a web solution that said to shim the panel out away from the housing slightly because it rubs on the metal housing around it and damages the control board contacts. I could see little scratch marks on the plastic skin around the edge of the button area, so that made sense. I tried it, and it still did not work.....panel was still beeping. Mine seemed to be the timer control buttons that were going on and off. So, I took it out again, and actually peeled the control surface off of the control board. No going back now, I thought. I got it off and looked at the control panel. It looked fine, but there was a lot of gunk and wear marks around the edge of the plastic button area. I cleaned it up with alcohol swabs, and put the cover back on the board. It was still sticky enough to go back on. I reinstalled it, and "bingo" no more problem. It has been fine for 3 months now. Yahooo!
