Perhaps fresh batteries? If not the diod transmitter in the remote is running its normal life or the IR receiver in the tv is running its life.

Can I add a second chime for upstairs working from the existing bell push

Most likely, but unless it is wireless, you will need to run bell wire from the downstairs chime to the upstairs chime unless the wire appears to be available any way. Probably just the connections are needed.

I can connect to xbox live wireless when in same room as router but go upstairs and can not connect..help please

Could be due to metal in the floor like insulation shielding the radio.
Would suggest using a power point switch if power points are on same power circuit
http://www.techbuy.com.au/searchcat/NETWORKING_ETHERNET_OVER_POWER.asp
and then either connect power point network switch to another wireless access point upstairs to cover upstairs area. All settings have to be the same as wi fi router down stairs. Same encryption password . Or you could just plug the Xbox into the power point ethernet network switch via ethernet blue cable.

Why can't I lower my honeywell 8500 below 67 on cool?

With a two story house you have to be aware that cold air flows downwards so any cold air coming from an ac unit will flow downstairs( normally down the stairway) so unless you can close off the down stairs then the up stairs unit will be cooling downstairs as well. Ac units have a thermostat located in the air intake and it cools until the cold air has risen to that point. In effect the space above the ac unit will be hotter than the floor. Knowing how they work ,you can see that the upstairs unit will never reach the set temperature because the cold air is continually heating from the house and will never get to the top thermostat.
So your solutions are
1-- fit controls that restrict the cold air from leaving the upper floor (Doors)
2--don't run the upper ac unit unless you are living up there (waste of money
)3 place an ac in each upper room and keep the room door closed

Hello Penny Kelly - Typically when the water temperatures are wrong, this is usually due to the hoses being connected to the wrong valves. Usually error code E70 or E76 will appear. However, you have already checked the hoses to make sure they are on the correct faucet, connected to the correct valve and that the hose has no kinks or restrictions. I would suggest contacting a professional to move forward accurately since the temperature sensor may be faulty.

I have F5D7230-4 router. Modem downstairs connected to DSL. Computer upstairs needs a wireless card to work This is a ''G'' router, but it only picks up signal upstairs with a ''B'' card which I stole...

The Belkin F5D7230-4 router should offer "Wireless G" connections,
unless you have used its built-in web-interface to only allow "Wireless B" connections.

So, if your "upstairs" computer, with a "Wireless B" adapter, connects, it will connect only at the slower "Wireless B" speed.

If you want "Wireless G" speed, you will need to purchase a "Wireless G" adapter.

Dish network UHF remote works intermittently.

If you extend the small antenna that is on the back of the receiver by using a short cable and a barrel connector to get the antenna out of the entertainment center or out from the TV this will help alot

Weather King Heat Pump

Hey kellyrepp -- Three things to check quickly, so many things can be wrong, but i will try to help with the info you gave me.

The first sounds like your electric aux heat is not wired in or not working correctly , this should kick in when the heat pump cannot keep up with desired set temperature. For sure thats a problem

The second thing i would check is that the compressor for that unit is running. It should sound exactly like the one for the upstairs, the fan noise should be like a whrrrr , and the compressor should be a semi loud hummm.

Third feel the pipes on the outside unit that are on the outside of the unit (the unit for the second floor) Let the unit run for 5 minuites. Now check that the first floor unit pipes are the same tempereture. They are about 110 degrees or so, depending on the outside temperatur , be carefull not to burn yourself. If the lower unit is colder , the two most prominent problems would be #1 the compressor is not running #2 Low on freon.

Hope that helps

Heat on bottom floor no heat on top floor

pretty vague, but i'll give it a shot. i assume that your upper and lower floors are heated by the same unit. of course if your not sure you better check to see if there is a second t stat for up stairs in case there is a second unit that heats it. there may also be a zoning system that seals off upstairs ducts unless the zone stat for that area is calling for heat. so look for a second stat upstairs if you think it may be zoned. now to you original question. lets assume the unit is not zoned and only one unit heats both. then you may have a mechanical damper in the ductwork ,usually located close to the indoor blower that shifts to force more air upstairs in summer and more air downstairs in winter, these can usually be shifted as needed to control air to upper lower and are usually marked upstairs dornstairs etc. if you have no dampers etc, then you have reason to suspect the ductwork has come apart or been crushed before it gets upstairs. you'll have to go up or under the house etc and try to find duct problems.good luck

How to use this unit as a Access Point for an existing Wireless Home Network

set the second router through the web menus to a different ip address, cant have 2 devices on the same (default) 192.168.0.1 address, try 192.168.0.2 (example only) to stop data collisions
connect by cable secondary router lan port 1 to the primary router lan port 4 (any lan port to any lan port),
drag secondary router upstairs on its cable and install it wherever you want
set two routers on different channels.
set all wep settings on both routers the same.
set all pcs to 'auto channel' select
wireless adaptors in pcs will then select strongest signal at any point and transmit thru that router
