Question about Kingston 2GB Secure Digital Memory Card

4 Answers

Hi there, I purchased an SDC02G Kingston Taiwan 2GB micro SD card to take holiday photographs which are very important to me. When i returned home from my holiday i was veiwing my pictures when i dropped my camera, the hatch opened and the batteries came out as it hit the floor. I put the batteries back in and switched my camera back on, but it kept saying card error and it couldnt read the card. Since then I have taken the chips to jessops to see if they could help to fix the problem but they could not. The pictures are extreamly precious to me and I really hope you can help me. Is there anywhere I can have them restored? Thank you for taking the time and helping me.

First of all, do not save any new file to camera's memory card.

Take out memory card, and connect it to computer using a card reader. You should see memory card shown as a drive letter (like H:) in Windows Explorer.
Download asoftech photo recovery software
http://www.asoftech.com/apr/
Install and open the photo recovery software, select the memory card, and click 'Start' button.

Don't give up, chances of picture recovery still exist even if the camera memory card occurs some wired errors. Here are the steps you should perform.

1. take the card out of your camera and use a good card reader to load and connect to your PC or Mac machine. Then try some photo recovery software from this site: Digital-Camera-Recovery.com for a lit of best ones.

2. next, try format the error camera memory card.

3. reuse the recovery software to see if more pics can be retrieved.

Remember - the more you use your camera memory card before photo recovery, the less likely you may be able to recover the media files back! Just take care.

I am sorry to tell you this but if the camera wont read it, and the computer says it is corrupt or doesnt show files then the pictures are gone. :(

Make sure you're using a microSD card, 2GB and smaller, and not a higher-capacity microSDHC card.

I have nokia 7210supernova and i got my kingston 2gb micro sd memory card locked and i don`t know any password so how to crack micro sd memory card password

There should be a switch on the side of the memory card, which says 'LOCK' on one end, and 'UNLOCK' on the other end. Switch it to UNLOCK. If this fails, contact first your network provider(Orange, Voadfone...). If they cannot help, you need to contact Nokia. If this fails, contact Kingston. This will help.

I cannot get a 2GB Micro SD card to work in my LG KC550, I have purchased two cards they are Sandisk and kingston. can anyone help?

did you format your sd card before insert into the phone? does your phone support 2GB card, refer to the manual for those. Also try to put your sd card into some other phone see if it read.

Scandisk 2gb says menu when I switch on.

If you are using the sandisk 2 GB with an R4 card it is not possible. R4 cards and sandisk micro sd cards aren't compatible. Buy a Kingston 2GB micro sd card that should then work.I hope this helps you. If is does please rate me.

The PIC or EEPROM inside these cards may not be working. I guess you best bet is to buy a new one try Kingston brand or go with another Sandisk.

4GB micro sd card.

According to what I've read, you can double the original memory, but no more than that, so the max you can have on a Sansa e250 would be 4 GB (2GB internal memory and 2GB external memory). I also read that the micro SD cards holds
music only-no video.
