SOURCE: air stapler leaks air through ''nose''

This sounds like one of the O-rings has failed. Yes it can be fixed. Check to see if HD has an O-ring kit for these guns. That kit will contain all of the O-rings as well as the lubricants for a total rebuild. That should resolve your problem.

SOURCE: nail would not shoot out

The problem that you describe is caused when the driver is not returning all the way back up to the top of the cylinder not allowing the nails to enter into position . You may have one of several problems including worn piston oring, bent driver, worn check valve, worn lower bumper, or low air pressure. Simple test is to manually push the driver blade back to top using a thin piece of metal that fits into bottom of gun. Be sure to disconnect from air supply when doing this. Good Luck

SOURCE: my mastercraft electric brad nailer stapler wont

Look for a jam in the gun.Sounds like a brad is "hung up" in it, probably right at point where it feeds into the mouth of the firing point. Be sure you unplug it before you do this.

My Senco SFN1 finish nailer will not shoot a nail. When the trigger is pulled air comes out but no nail is shot. Thanks,Steve L

Not sure about Senco but most have latch you can open to expose firing mechanism. Nail sometimes gets jammed and will not allow driver to fire or if not nail push driver ****** all the way back into gun then see if gun will fire.

Shoots staples fine but brads jam or bend. Check that the part called "guide bar", #35 on the parts diagram isn't getting stuck in the channel of part #30.

The guide bar retracts into the channel when driving a staple and springs out of the channel to guide brads.

The guide bar can get stuck in the channel if it's bent or gummed up. (Bent is likely the result of driving a brad into an obstruction.)

Duofast stapler shoots a staple as soon as i plug in the air

I have rebuilt many older Duofast staplers and have seen the problem that you describe. Duofast staplers have twice as many orings as other brands of nailers. Some people say that the nailers are over-engineered. I say that they were built to last a lifetime and need extra care when working on them. Duofast relies on various springs to reset functions or operations. For example there is a spring within the trigger valve that you do not see when you are rebuilding that may be weak and cant overcome the friction of the new orings. That spring resets the trigger after firing. If you replaced all the orings but did not replace any of the springs within the gun, it will take a while for the gun to get back to normal. I use new springs and lube all the parts with silicone lube instead of oil. Silicone lube is sold at Lowes in the plumbing department. It is used to lube orings in faucets. Instead of taking the gun apart, try using a little extra nailer oil in the gun and cycle the gun with-out nails dozens of times to work-in the new orings. If the problem does not go away, take a look at a breakdown and try streaching all the springs just a bit, or make sure that all the springs are in place. Also make sure that the head gasket is in good shape or the oring that seals the headvalve port to the body. Good Luck with your repair and email if you have other questions.
