first thing you get to check if your laptop suport something more good and the another thing is to look for some advice from an expert about a new video card and my advice is a laptop isnt for games you use to much when play games .

if the freezing only happens when playing videos then this is not hard drive issues. try this one, download the latest video driver for you video then remove the old one then install the new video card driver which you just download. if fails try to check and consider the ram issue.
First thing you have to change which monitor is the main monitor it can only play the video on one monitor at a time depending on your video settings. What I would do is buy a Soundblaster 24 Pc card,( like $20.00 off e-bay) Put it in with the creative drivers and it should override all other drivers. If not go into Device manager and disable origiginal onboard sound. Worth a shot. mark007
