Can you connect the Inspiron machine to an external display or external monitor and see if you will be able to see the screen. You can press FN F1 to toggle display. What were looking now is if this is just problem with the LCD or with the Motherboard. If you will be able to see atleast the POST Screen on the external monitor then it is the LCD that has a problem but if there's still no display then most likely the problem is with the motherboard. If you have questions please let me know. Thanks

Dell Inspiron 1545 red processor:Pentium(R) Dual-core CPU T4400 @2.20GHz is error code 2000-0221, how to solve this problem?

this is a bios level error, you should still be able to run the system. this code is something you get when you hit F12 and run the diagnostics? or is this a blue screen error? you are probably going to need to boot to F2 (setup) then hit "Alt e" Alt F then Alt B the system will beep on the alt f but that's ok once this is done hit esc, save changes and reboot and see if you still get the error

Dell inspiron 1545 14 beeps (more details inside).

This indicates a motherboard issue, sub out the ram memory one at a time, test each as you go, if no change! The motherboard will need to be replaced, or the laptop.

Black screen blacking curse

turn off your computer and on again.....buttons combined with Fn-buttons can make the screen blacked out, some of the Fn-buttons are made to shift from internal to external screen.

White screen

First see if the power on self-test (Fn+ Power) or the LCD BIST (D+Power) will run. The Diags are normally on a blue screen with white test, the LCD BIST is simply 4 Solid Color Screen looking for defects in the LCD panel.
If you hear beeps/windows sounds when the system boots and the LCD BIST test does nothing then the LCD has likely failed and you will need a new one. You can try an external monitor and see if you get video on an external screen.
If you don't then try these steps:

Dell Inspiron 1545 Booting Problem [Black Screen].

Insert the original Windows CD-ROM into the DVD-drive, and see if the computer will "boot" from that disk. If so, then it could be your 'C:' drive which is having the problem, and thus not "booting" your computer from it.

Dell Inspiron 1545 will not boot up.

Try removing battery and booting on AC power only from adaptor
Then take out ram modules and reseat these, try to boot
Disconnect hard drive, DVD rom drive and try to boot.

If you get a beep sound, this shows that at least there is power to the system. Note down the number of beeps and post the result.
