Hi, this sounds like a speed controller failure, i suspect the electronics speed controller is/has failed, failing?

The ONLY real way to find out what's wrong is by substituting the speed controller module and see if that fixes things.

To see if the motor actually works, try using it directly across a 12 V Battery, NOT a 24V, and see if you get any movement or even a Kick, if you do get evidence of it working, then to prove further try it on the full 24 V, it should rotate...

Now if it works like that direct, then now hook it back up to the speed controller, and see if it works, if NOT, then we have proved the electronics to be at fault. Replace/Repair the controller. (I always advise replacement, as a repaired device, has a greater chance of a future breakdown within 9 - 18 Months.)

I got a 1999 motorguide 67lb brute 767 it is 12 or 24v when i swich it to 12 volt it dont work but when i put it on 24 volt it runs but not like it should i need help

My guess is that the motor has leaked water and requires the 'extra' power of 24V to spin it up. To check for a water leak, first remove the prop.
Here is a schematic to get you started:
http://www.mikesreelrepair.com/schematics/displayimage.php?pid=8362
After the prop is off, you will see 2 or 4 bolt heads. You'll need a 5/16" socket. You'll want to remove only one of the outermost bolts. The bolts are about 8" long but only threaded for an inch or so. When you get it out you will be looking for a black, oily looking residue, whch would indicate water still in the motor unit. If you see rust or a white, powdery substance that would indicate there was water intrusion but has since dried out.
Give everything a good clean, replace all the o-rings, clean up the armature commutator (copper brush contact on the armature) and re-assemble.
Good luck!

My motor guide trolling motor died . It was on the new boat that I bought in 2011 . Checked the breaker fuse and it's good, tested the wiring with a volt meter couldn't find anything. Could it be the micro...

do you have it hard wired to pos and neg or does it have the 3 prong plug in switch ..if 3 prong its for a 24/36 volt motor wont work on 12 volt less you have the 12 volt plug

I have a Motor Guide Brute 767, 67 lb thrust 24 volt trolling motor. It will only run at about half speed even with new batteries.

I believe you may have a bad low voltage circuit board problem. I do not think they make the board any longer but you may be able to convert it to work by bypassing the circuit board. I am working on one now.

2008 toyota tacoma whistling noise

I don't know how loud the noise is, but its weird that you mention 50 mph. At that speed or above you are keep a constant rpm level. I say this because it might just be your air box loose and the sound of the intake air is making it. A 2008 truck should not have any major problem. Sometimes an alternator will sing or whine but never heard anyone say something is whistling. One other thing is sometimes for some reason ive heard a noise like that coming from the speakers of my car that goes up and down with the speed of the motor, but that was when I was tinkering with speakers and sub outs and amps. Thats all I can think of.

Bosch dishwasher whining

if you listen to the appliance and the noise is louder on the rhs and low down this is probably the main wash motor they sometimes do whine if you can live with the noise leave it alone if not you basically have to take the whole applianmce apart for access to the motor costly repair would take a trained pro about 90 mins to replace the motor
if the noise is coming from the front of the appliance more to the lhs and is intermittant ie when it first starts up and then about half way through its likely to be the drain pump relitively easy to replace and you dont have to take the appliance to bits just go at from the front
good luck

hi there.....when the machine brings water in...have you cancelled the program reselect a program and checked that it is puming out..if all is ok then you need to check that the main wash pump rotates freely....if all is ok here..then i suspect you have a failed capicator on the wash motor....little white cylinderical component on top of the motor

Engine whine noise

most likely a belt tensioner or pulley take some penetrating oil and spray the center of each pulley one at a time if the noise stops you got your bad pulley if not take the belts off the motor and spin everything by hand to feel or hear any grinding noises if you still don't feel anything run the motor (not for more then a minute) with the belts off and if the noise is still apparent your timing belt needs to be checked right away! it may be on its way out and if that goes your motor is toast good luck and please rate -jeff
