Hi there,
Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

Here's a link to this great service

Good luck!

SOURCE: My Dometic 620315 Penguin roof a/c does not produce cold air.

If the compressor is running with no cold air the unit is more than likely no good. It can not be recharged. you need a new unit. If the compressor is not running you need to check the capacitors.

SOURCE: problem w/ dometic penguin a/c. upgrade kit?

You know what, I have never ran into that yet in 15 years, so I think your best bet would be to go to, ( and send then a quick inquiry to confirm, what would be required, they are usually pretty helpful believe it or not.

SOURCE: My 1990 Penguin unit has a leak. Can it be fixed?

Leaks can be repaired, some quite easily and others while difficult to find - and get to - prove somewhat more difficult.

The problem with 'leaks' is sometimes they are 'high pressure leaks' which are some of the more difficult ones to find.

So... the answer to your question is yes - but.

I would try and get a very experienced Service Tech to fix the leak, and one who will stand behind his work.

good luck!

SOURCE: have 2 dometic duo-therm 13.5

It would seem as though something in the front unit is killing the circuit boards....
The front circuit board was bad so the control still did not work in the front...then you swapped the circuit board from the back and killed it in the front unit...that is why it will not work in the back now...
There may be a short somewhere in the front unit that is killing the circuit find the problem you will need to use an OHM meter and trace down the problem...probably as simple as a wire rubbed through or pinched...but a meter may be needed to find it...

Bad run capacitor or bad compressor. If you hear an occasional click from the compressor try a new run cap and then a hard start kit. Otherwise it's more economical to purchase a new unit.

What size & type generator? On start up the AC unit can draw as much as 17-18 amps in some cases, and if your generator is not designed for a quick draw like that it will die.

AS I SAID BEFORE my problem is not ac connection its the 2 blue ,,2yellow and one red and one black..where to connection these color wires..coming out from the roof top unit. My unit is Dometic Penguin...

Unfortunately I have no access to any previous information you received from other experts, but I will tell you that without knowing which ceiling assembly/control box, thermostat etc., that you are using, the most I can do is tell you this.
Blue wire is for the compressor circuit.
Black wire is for high fan .
Yellow wire is not used, unless for heat pump circuit reversing valve.
Red wire is for low fan.
White is the common AC connection.
Green/yellow striped is for ground to chassis.

Your choices are another Dometic or a Coleman
I prefer the Coleman But the amount of extra cooling you will get by stepping up to a 15K unit will probability not be worth the added cost
