Unplug it and remove the battery for two minutes. Reinstall the battery and power on the DSi. If this does not work Nintendo offers a 1 year manufacture warranty. You can contact Nintendo and they will mail you a box to send it in and they will repair it. They will then ship it back to you all at their cost.

My dsi xl froze when i turned it on but doesn't turn off. what should i do

  • Sometimes the DSI will freeze. The only way to get it back to normal is to remove the battery for a minute and re-install it. Then power it back on and your DSI will return to normal. I usually pull the battery out for a minute to reset the DSI before bed to reset it so it does not freeze on my when I am gaming during the day. Otherwise every so often it will freeze. Happt gaming.

My dsi froze

  1. You can trying loading your music on a different SD card to see if that resolve the freezing issue
  2. You can call Nintendo if you still have warranty and see they can replace the unit. With this option you will have to ship your DSi out and wait 4-6 weeks or more for it to return.
  3. If you had recently purchased your DSi I would return it to the place you bought it from and exchange it for a new one
Hope this helps
