Just check the cable connection of the speaker and sound properties also or else in control panel in system properties ,in hardware tab select device manager option see if question mark or exclamation mark is there or not .it will be in yellow colour if it is there then u should reinstall audio drivers from the driver disc

I have a dell opticplex gx620. It was working perfectly until the windows crashed. I have been trying to reload windows xp but once i press f8 to accept it will show blue screen.

You need an actual Dell windows disk to reload to a new hard drive as it will flash the associated drivers and boot sequence to the RAM. Nothing else works with DELL!

XPS-410 needs to have MCE 2005 Rollup two SP3 replaced by Windows 7 64 bit. Too many problems to list currently but will work limited programs

Not sure what you are trying to do. If you are trying to convert 32 bit to 64 bit Apps, try going to manufacturers website to look for drivers.
Win 7 will actually find the best drivers for your devices.

Computer crashed, reloaded all software. Window xp home edition. Now speakers do not play. Did before crash. Tech says it should play. I have done all the test he recomends and still nothing. What am I...

You may need to download the software for the sound card, it is not part of the program in many recovery disks, go to the support site for your computer, Dell, HP, whatever the manufacturer is and load up software and driver downloads by the model or service tag number of your computer. Also go tot he start menu (lower left of tray) and click on "Control Panel", in the next window click on "Sounds, Speech and Audio Devices" then check to see that the volume is turned up on the sound or it is not muted.

I want to crash my computer and reload os and software

you dont need to crash your windows all you need to do is to reformat your hard disk and reload the operating system .

Windows crash

These are operating system errors. Start by doing a check disc from the bios or set up. The check disc is a hard drive test, if anything fails then you have a hard drive crash and you will need to replace the hard drive. If it passes, then you will need to run a repair on the operating system using your recovery or operating system disc. If you have any hang ups or issues during or after the repair then you will need to completely reload a fresh copy of the operating system.
